It was a gift for my husband and he just tightened everything quickly to make sure it stayed secure. I was so excited to get this from my husband for Christmas. My son got it all put together and I go to use it and the bottom piece that you sit on has a metal bar sticking up that is uncomfortable to sit on. I wish the headrest was adjustable, but it's still a cozy chair so far. I haven't had any problems with the electric parts but will update if I do. I really appreciate the massage and heat, especially during the cold months. I didn't realize this chair was for "big" people. I'm 5'8, 140lbs and it suits me just fine. Eh. Massage feature is just vibration. Heat feature isnt noticeable. Do like the foot rest. chair is reasonably comfortable. Really really dont want to deal with the return of this large item so I will keep it. Update: if I could return this i would. Return window closed. my sciatic is killing me

    • Massage doesn't work very well.
The chair itself is solid, heavy, and feels durable. However, the massage feature is more of a vibration and only reaches the lower to mid‑back area. I’m 5'3", and it doesn’t come close to my shoulders. The heating element also gets extremely hot—so hot that I had to turn it off after a short time. I usually love heated features, but this one was far too intense, and I never let it run long enough to find out how hot it would actually get. The chair seems designed for someone with a smaller build as well; my husband is 6' tall, and it was a very snug fit for him. Would not buy again -- a standard chair would have been more sufficient and lighter. ... show more
