Works very well, shaves ice very efficiently. I use ice cubes from my freezer, they are perfect for this Machine. Fun to use.There is a separate resovoir to store the water from the melting ice. There is an automatic feature, or you can shave more ice manually.

The Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville Key West Frozen Concoction Maker is awesome and I love it. Elon Musk and his rockets that land themselves? Child’s play. This thing is incredible. I stare at it like a caveman discovering fire. Margaritas, daiquiris, bushwackers. All can be made with this thing and made to perfection. Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is my second one I loved my first one but I was ready to have a bigger newer version and no complaints whatsoever it’s great and will enjoy this one for a while I’m sure only downside is this one is very loud my cats ran off lol

    • Works decent, but major flaw makes it a health risk, and bad customer service
Works decent, use it to make snow cones and smoothies. Ice isn't fine like true shaved ice, more like crushed ice. When blending, it splashes up into the ice reservoir, leaving residue all over the internal compartments and shaving blade. In order to clean, you have to take it apart. Even after taking it apart, there's internal crevices that you can't reach to clean. Due to it's bad design, the mechanism to take it apart eventually breaks, leaving you with a machine that builds up splash residue that can't be cleaned and becomes a health concern. Major design flaw with taking it apart. There's a little button under the ice reservoir, you have to hold it as you twist the ice paddle to unscrew, then you can take it apart. The button feels like it tries to catch the ice paddle to stop it from freely spinning, allowing it to unscrew. However this component slowly wears down and eventually can't catch. After about a month of usage and 6 cleanings, the button no longer worked, and now unsafe to use. I was afraid of splash residue molding and contaminating the drink. So I contacted customer service. I had to send it to them to research, and after a couple of weeks, they sent me a replacement unit. However the replacement unit came with the button already broken/worn down. I couldn't even take it apart for the initial cleaning. I tried contacting them again, but they ghosted me. They didn't reply to my emails anymore, it seemed as if they closed my ticket, and didn't need to respond anymore. So I tried submitting a new warranty claim on their website, referenced my previous ticket, and they never replied. After several weeks of no response, I called their customer support line and this person said they received my requests and apologized for the non-responsiveness. They asked for me to mail back the replacement unit for research. This time it took them about a month to do their "research" before they sent me another replacement unit. Seemed like they were purposely stalling. Thankfully the new unit worked. I knew the button would eventually break/wear down again, so I use the machine differently now. Mainly to make snow cones so there's no splash back. When I do make smoothies or drinks, I would first shave a lot of ice on top before letting it start it's blending cycle, this prevents the splash back. I regret buying this product, as this is not safe to use long term unless I only use it for snow cones, and there's much cheaper shaved ice machines. ... show more
