If you are accustomed to a regular bike give this some time and you will get a good workout. I rode a mountain bike mostly for the hills for 35 years started to fall and decided to give the the recumbent a chance. At this point I’m glad I did.

    • This recumbent is great!
I am a 73 year old woman and now have back trouble (L4 & L5) went to physical therapy and used their recumbent bike. I could feel my back and hips loosen up. After talking with my PT he told me best things for me are walking and elliptical but in both of these there is more compression on spine where at the recumbent bike stretches and loosens with out so much compression. Instructions were in easy to understand English and even though it said you need two people to put it together I thought I will see how far I get before I need help - but put the whole thing up with only one issue. I had to call support, which was quick and easy. The problem? Me I did not read the English which said left peddle gets screws in counter-clock wise, LOL I've been using it three days and it's wonderful I love, so glad I bought this unit. ... show more

Purchased this bike to help with my recovery from knee surgery. It is very solid and comfortable, and I ride it for 15 minutes every day. It has several measurements, like time and speed, but I have not learned how they work. I'm just happy that it works well for 15 minutes each day.

Just had total knee replacement surgery and this bike made my recovery pain ease up by exercising. The bike is comfortable to sit on and has quiet pedaling. It is all you need to get a great workout. It was very easy to assemble too.

    • FOUR OR FIVE STARS, depending on what's important to you
Facing lumbar laminectomy, I bought this bike for its basic functions, durability & strength, not for the digital display. That said, since the display is part of the overall bike, I deducted one star from the five I would’ve otherwise given it. The simplicity of the display box indicates it would cost next to nothing to manufacture it with a switchable LED light for using in dim light or nighttime. One other improvement may be the addition of an adjustable recline angle for the back rest, which can be combined with an adjustment in the inseam length to acheive user's preference for core, back and legs. My orthopaedic surgeon indicated what others have posted about finding an excercise that addresses, core, gluts, back & lower extremities without placing undue pressure on skeletal components. He specifically mentioned "recumbent bike," and this fit the bill. Post-laminectomy, this bike's use is probably more beneficial to continuing my regular daily activities than any of my precribed meds, tests, hours wasted in waiting rooms, hours on phone with primary care, insurance authorization department.... requesting authorizations, referrals from out-of-network-but-insurance-authorized by primary care, to whom I must notify and explain the entire chain of medical requests, authorizations, and approvals by doctor, medical group, and insurance coverage. Tha-a-a-a-t's right, I said it. Don't sue me if you buy this bike based on my comments and then claim you don't like it. I like it. I use it. I haven't had it very long. (Not counting the 3 months it sat in the box in my closet.) I'm expecting to see some improvement in my walking and overall balance. ... show more

I didn’t think I’d actually get this item as I live in Kauai and often won’t get items if the company doesn’t want to send them here. Happens frequently so I was surprised that this came quickly. Set it up in the work out room for my hubby who has bone on bone knees and can use this without pain. Not noisy, easy to put together. I did it myself in less than an hour. There’s a computer but we don’t use it. It works though. Time, tension, etc. Moves easily and for the money, it’s a great deal. Thanks. ... show more
