  • Easy set up
Color: Black
Good quality, great addition to our little garage set up. It’s a good size we are average height and it is good for us. It’s not heavy easy to move around. Felt very sturdy.

  • Great bench but have to assemble it.
Color: Black
I ordered the barwing bench and while it was nicely packed and pre-built, it was hard (padding) and narrow. Went with Marcy because I have other Marcy items and they work well. It wasn’t fun building the thing, but it’s great after. Padding is comfortable, angle is easy to adjust, and pad is wide enough to feel stable. ... show more

  • Great but why??
Color: Black
Great bench but why make things more frustrating and complicated then they need to be for the average person trying to assemble this. Other then a few things that can make assembly frustrating like tiny differences in bolt size (just make two long ones) and having to use two different size allen keys it seems to be well built. I assembled it alone in about an hour as far as i remember, maybe having two people assembling it might be easier and quicker. I'm around 180lbs 5' 7" and it seems to be holding up well so far. ... show more

  • Decent affordable bench
Color: Black/Red
I bought a used bench. All the nuts and bolts were there except for the tools to screw it in. I had to use my boyfriend's tools as there is no way I could have done everything by hand. Instructions appeared cumbersome at first but if you focus and not rush, you're fine.

  • Very flexible and usable.
Color: Black
The Marcy Utility bench has all the positions I need. It folds up compactly when not in use. This is not the weight bench you want for heavy weight lifting but I don't really want heavy weight lifting.

  • Get what you pay for
Color: Black
I bought this when it was on sale for around $60 and was the lowest priced utility bench that could semi fold up to store it easy. My goal was just to have something I could do some dumbbell workouts with as I get started with working out at home. Setup was a hassle as the instructions aren't entirely clear and give you a more overview rather than step by step of how to put it together. Some other reviewers mention that they had mis-placed screw holes that don't line up for the seat installation. I also ran into this issue and requested an replacement from Amazon. Waited for replacement, unboxed it and it was the same issue. I thought that was odd so I took a closer look and found that the screw holes on the seat were correct for both of the units I had but the brackets you install onto the frame were on backwards. This is easily missed as it is not mentioned which way to install them in the instructions and I didn't even think of that being the issue until I reversed them and boom, all works. So, keep that in mind! Ultimately, it's a cheap bench. You get what you pay for, and I wouldn't recommend using it for bench pressing due to unclear weight limits but for doing dumbbells workout or dips, etc. I think it'll do fine. ... show more
