    • Easy assembly and sturdy
Solid value for the money spent. Marcy makes some nice equipment and this bench is an example of a strong value equation. The bench was well packaged and the hardware nicely organized----with clear instructions for assembly. Went together quickly with no issues. I have a Nautilus workout bench that is a little high off the floor and in the flat position----my feet barely touch the floor for bench presses. So I wanted a bench that was lower, and this one fit the bill. It is low to the floor, making it ideal for most users to get solid footing for weight exercises when that factor is important. I'm about 6' tall, so was surprised that the Nautilus bench leaves me with poor footing in the flat position. If I put the back rest up slightly, it obviously raises my back and positions my feet to the floor. But for a standard bench press, that isn't the correct position, which is why I ordered this simple, non-adjustable bench. It works great. It's light enough to move around easily, yet feels substantial, with nice finishes----smooth painted/powder coated surface with a nice gloss. Comfortable bench with soft touch vinyl. The only reason I dinged it by reducing the score by one star is that the plastic end caps fall out way too easily. You barely touch them or just pick up the bench to move it and they can easily come dislodged and land on the floor. I'll figure out how to reinforce them to hold them in better, but honestly, it's ridiculous that I have to do that. And it drives me nuts to lose the plastic trim pieces on exercise equipment. There's no excuse with modern manufacturing for these pieces to not fit snug and stay put----other than cutting corners or being cheap. That is the only thing that prevented me from giving it five stars. A small point maybe, but they need to do better to get a perfect score. Other than that, I strongly recommend Marcy and this bench or their newer version of it, which I think might be an inch higher off the floor. ... show more

    • Great product but missing washers to assemble
The bench looks great but extra washers (not included) are obviously needed otherwise it's loose and unstable, don't know why so many others (except one) did not mention this. Otherwise the balance is off and it's loose and too unstable to use. Don't see why other reviews (except one) didn't mention this. Don't companies assemble their own products to test them? rarely write a review, but this bench is great! Super sturdy solid and easy to put together. Took 10 min max. Cushioning is really nice and high quality pro looking and feeling.

    • Attractive / Easily assembled / Quality item
I appreciate that this Marcy bench is that it sits a little lower to the ground than my current incline/decline bench. This makes it easier for my 5'2" wife to use for her workouts as well as myself when doing tricep (body weight) dips! It was hard for me to find a piece of equipment that matched the rest of what I already own. This white frame w/ black bench-top was perfect. Arrived in timely fashion. Easy to assemble. Nice initial quality (time will truly tell, of course!). For me, the padding is a critical point of concern when buying a bench. Too soft, it'll break down easily in short time. If it's too firm, it just won't be comfortable to use. This Marcy bench, really fits the bill. I was concerned about the sturdiness of this bench for someone my size. I’m 6”6” 400+ lbs so strength of this bench matters tremendously. I can tell every person looking for a solid bench that won’t wobble or make terrifying noises when you get on it that this is the one you are looking for!

    • Comfortable but wobbly
A little wobbly but looks nice in my home gym area. It’s comfirtable for back exercises but maybe not the best for steps since it wobbles.

For the money, this is a really great bench. Theres quite a bit of padding but not too much for heavy benches. Was slightly skeptical about getting the white bench but paint looks fantastic and is holding up nicely. Would strongly recommend.
