And I'm extremely happy with it. It comes disassembled so you'll have to put some effort into getting it up and running. But I found the instructions very clear and the different sized bolts needed for different sections well labeled. My advice is to lay all the pieces out on the floor (hopefully a rug or carpet so save your knees and butt) and just plan on it taking a couple of hours. No reason at all to rush things. I actually found the process quite meditational, if that's even a word. As to the performance it's very good. Several levels of resistance and though the first two don't do a whole lot you should bear in mind that I'm a 6' male who does 100 squats a day so I've pretty strong legs. I usually use the highest setting and feel like I'm getting a decent workout (the faster you pedal the greater your cardio obviously). I think my favorite thing is parking this thing in front of the boob tube, putting on a movie and forget I'm even working out. I'm a fan of the electronics. It keeps track of how long you've spent on it even if you don't use it every day, it picks up right where you left off. I think I once went for a week (out of town) without using it and when I turned it on and began pedaling it brought up the total time I've been using it since day 1. A nice feature. The pedals have straps that hold you're feet in place and be sure and put those on. I tried it without them at first and my feet kept slipping off. (I just remembered something. Putting the pedal straps on was a pain. Can't remember why at the moment but don't neglect this step). Another great thing is how adjustable the bike is in terms of moving the seat portion forward or backwards to find the perfect fit for you size. It has a very clever spring loaded post that you lift up to slide the two halves in the desired direction. Another nice thing is the adjustable support beneath the main stem at the bottom of the frame that you dial in to support the bike so it is completely level. Don't forget to do this so you don't bend the frame! I vaguely recall that there were some criticisms of the handles. True they're in a fixed position and the way the instructions tell you to put them on they're too low to support your forearms which is the position that seemed natural to me as opposed to gripping with you hands. I simple turned them upside down and achieved what I wanted. To move it I lift it by gripping the bar beneath the back seat (the parallel section of the handlebars) and once the back half is off the floor you'll notice two almost invisible rollers built into the front end allow you to move it by walking backwards. A bit noisy going over wood flooring or tile but most of my house is carpeted so a complete non issue for me. I think the instructions say to walk it forward but I found that to be totally impractical. It's heavy so you probably don't want to keep it too far from where you use it. As I recall most of the negative reviews mention the hardness of the seat. It is a dense bit of rubber (which will last forever) and a bit hard on the buns after while. To those people I say, for god's sake use a cushion or something. Overall I'm 100% happy with the Marcy. It's very stable, has lots of customizable features and after 3 years I haven't had one single issue with it. It's always there ready to go for a ride.

*******UPDATE******* It finally died, now it has a loud clunk when pedaling. Overall the display is wonky and crappy, but for a cheap bike it lasted a while. As a guy who started around 280-290 6ft1, and pedaling my heart out for several years 30 minutes a day 4-5 days a week, it lasted a while. I sort of "outgrew it", I have been lifting and have been using it has a quick warmup and cool down tool, but cardio wise I've been doing more full body stuff and really lifting instead. During my warmup today it finally broke, and I think now I am going to move into a cheaper rowing machine for a more full body cardio warmup. Overall, I changed my review to a 5 star review, this little bike took several moves, years of abuse, and stayed consistent for a long time. For the price and cardio it supplied me for years, it more then earned it's rating. ********************* I've had this bike for a while, over two years now. Putting it together is easy. It's generally cheap but works. The seat and arms wobble slightly with any decent pressure. But again for a cheap bike it's fine. I would not expect this bike to be as solid as typical GYM equitment. My bigger issues start with the fact that it does not move that easily. The timer and info meter in the center is very inaccurate. Seriously I've been tracking it for a while now. I bike 30-60 minutes at a time, the timer is always wrong. At least 1:30-2 minutes wrong on 30 min runs. This was annoying because in the beginning, I scheduled my biking and set just enough time to get my work done and bike etc. So I kept having my timing off because this bike is always off. I compared the timer to my Amazfit Watch, my Regular mechanical watch, my new cell phone, laptop timer, and a standard timer for cooking/athletic timing. Those timers are all the same, bike is always different. Idk why it's always wrong, I never stop during my biking, so there is always power to it, it's just super inaccurate. This led me to believe the other measurements are inaccurate. The calories definitely are wrong, compared to my fitness tracker on my phone/Amazfit Watch. Which I get it's harder to be accurate because it doesn't take personal physiology into account. The distance measurement I hope are right, I try to do 10-20 miles a run depending on time, but idk if it's accurate, I don't know a way to measure it, but if I was a getting man I'd put the house on not accurate. The front handle bars are generally useless, maybe it's more my size? 6' 1", 235, started closer to 280, couple years ago. The tension controls when you change it feels off for a bit, then it seems to settle in after going for a couple minutes. The center loose knob is almost useless, the rear caps slip off all the time while moving and just riding sometimes, I super glued them into the correct position and it's fine. Overall, if you want a cheap recumbent bike, generally quite, and that's it, buy this. If you are expecting quality, any type of accuracy on the digital readout, or a gym style setup then don't buy this, you need to move into a higher price bracket. I would only buy this again if I was on a strict budget and/or this was my first exercise bike and I wanted to get into it first without breaking the bank (which is what I did). Initially it was nice to be able to bike inside during rough times of COVID and get into this without breaking the bank. When I move, I will probably just replace this bike with a more expensive, more solid, and more accurate one. I should also mention, I have back problems and neck issues, which is why I got this type of bike. Generally it's okay comfort wise on the back. At the end of my biking I get tight and gotta stretch after, but it would be way worse on a regular stationary bike or outdoor biking. Hope this helps

First, sitting here in 2025, I was surprised to find this bike is still for sale. I bought mine back in 2014. I used to use it all the time, but for the past few years it's just been sitting in my garage. Recently I dug it out and started using it again, and I found it was very squeaky. The noise was bothersome to point I would stop using it and trying to figure out the noise. After getting the plastic covers off, and testing various parts, I found the sound of the squeaking: the post supporting the seat wasn't fully welded to the base. So with every pedal my weight is enough to wiggle that entire post a bit where it's not connected to the base. I never noticed that since that weld is inside the plastic covers and hidden from the casual user. Current reviews seem to talk about how solid the welds are, so maybe that was fixed in later revisions. Still, this bike has held up for a decade plus, so I guess it was worth the bennie I spent on it back in 2014.

Love it. It gives me the post stroke physical therapy and exercise I need. It pedals forward and back but no tension with back pedaling. Set up was easy. Had it for some months, nothing broken. I'm 5'8, fits me fine, with the amount of adjustment left, I'd say it could fit a person as tall as 6'3" or more. Good deal on buy. Thanks!!!!
