No doubt these are not brand-new cells. The booklet says a 1500 cycle expected lifetime, which if new, would be closer to 5000. However, for ham radio projects and my kids power-wheels, I don't need to spend 5x as much for a BioEnno equivalent. These will still provide a longer lifespan than a brand-new Lead Acid equivalent, while weighing 1/4th as much. These are a no-brainer for 99% of projects. Plus, you're essentially recycling, so it's 'greener'.

I have several LiFePO4 batteries and I really like them for their high capacity to size and weight ratio as compared with lead-acid batteries having a similar capacity. LiFePO4 batteries have several other advantages, notably a longer service life, both in years and discharge/recharge cycles. Comparing this battery to another one I have that is physically the same size and has the same capacity rating (amp-hours), this battery has nearly identical specifications. However, this battery claims a 5000+ lifecycle whereas the other battery only has a 3000+ charge/discharge cycle rating. If they were the same (or similar) price, that would make this battery the obvious choice. However, this battery sells for $39.99 but the other one, which is also available on Amazon, is only $18.90. That makes this battery about 2.1x as expensive for 1.7x times as many charge/discharge cycles. So, when I do the math, unless I was building a system that would use a battery that was difficult to replace, I think I’d look for another, more cost-effective battery. That said, when I tested this battery, it performed without issue, so the only reason I’m giving this product less than a 5-star rating is because I think there are other batteries that offer better value for the money.

I used this battery in a power wheels upgrade to 12v. I charge it overnight and it lasts for hours of on and off use by my kids. I’ll be buying another one if I need to do more upgrades.

I am new to setting up a solar power system I knew I needed some batteries to store energy and power up devices. I have seen the name lifePO4 in reading about solar and saw this so ordered it. I found it to be as listed as it solves my storage problem. Star Rating System (What do my star ratings mean?): 1 STAR - Completely unusable, would request a refund 2 STAR - Meets minimum viable product requirements, wouldn't purchase it again 3 STAR - It does what it should, but in a non-spectacular way, I may recommend it, but definitely with reservations 4 STAR - I like it. It is solid quality and delivers as advertised, I would purchase it again and recommend it to a friend 5 STAR - I love it. This battery can be charged with solar panels. It charges all day on a sunny day and if I need e d to it can be charged from the house. It is perfect for things like the ride on toys and the train set which is kind of big.
