I've been using psychedelic sunset for about 2 years now. I did have to initially bleach my hair but since then I just have to do touch ups on the existing color (and bleach roots) about once a month. It really depends on how often I wash my hair which is maybe 2 times a week. It fades fast and it fades to a god awful yellow color that is just so unpleasant to look at. For how often I have to touch it up and how much I have to use each time (1.5 jars) I HATE the price. I definitely think its overpriced for the amount of product you get and how often you'll have to touch it up. I also HIGHLY recommend leaving it in for at least 4 hours. Last time I did a touch up I only left it in for 1 hour and after 3 washes it had completely faded to yucky pee color.

Easy to use, doesn’t stain as bad as some of the other colors (I’m looking at you Hot Hot Pink) vibrant and held up for about six washes before feeding.

I use Manic Panic on my son who likes to have colored hair for picture day. He wanted orange hair this year and he's a natural dirty blond. I expected that it would make him look a little like a Weasley. But it hardly changed his hair color at all. Luckily I had some left over red from the spring so that's what we ended up doing for picture day. But it seems like I'll have to bleach his hair first before we can use it. And he's still a little too young for harsh treatment on his hair so we may wait a few years before pulling out the orange again.
