  • Golf Course Looking Lawn!
Size: Mowing 0.75 Acre+garage Style: Standard Version
Amazing! My yard looks like a golf course now! Best of all, I can watch on my iPad from the comfort of my own living room while it cuts! Coming from a rider, no more worries about storing gas, no more hot afternoons out cutting, and no more fretting about when to cut! I love the FPV mode most of all. Pros: Assembly is easy with no GPS tower! Pull it out of the box, remove the blade padding, connect the bumper and edge guards and place down the charging pad - I use a cane, bending is hard, but it took me maybe 30 minutes to complete with the hardest task being screwing down the charging station with four provided ground screws and an allen wrench. There's a network setting where there's no need for installing the tower (which it comes with, but no need). It's fast in comparison to their mini model (which I also have) with a 13.8" cutting width (adjustable down to 7.8) with speeds varying from 1 foot per second (FPS) to 3.3 FPS. It handles ditches and inclines with ease (have about a 80 degree inclined ditch and it goes up and down it without issue). Half an acre can be as short as about 2 hours or as much as 6 hours depending on your settings and cut type (lateral lines or crisscross lines). Battery recharges within about an hour and is much faster than the mini model's charge time. I'd left a portion of my yard uncut to test its cutting ability on tall grass (8-10" tall or so) and it did it without issue, but it will leave a trail of non-mulched grass behind. Blades are durable (I've not had to change them on a different model for almost a month now even after running over a stone flower circle I'd not told it to avoid) and cheap to replace as they're basically just little razor blades you can find for roughly $1 each (I bought a 30 pack for $29 here). Build quality seems quite good, and it has a surprising little feature to pull sticks off itself that I quite like (grooves in the tires grip them and it does a zigzag Z - works like 95% of the time on it's first try, but on the second no stick has stayed for me at least). Range is good depending on your wifi, and if it drops momentarily behind a bush or something it will keep working and reconnect. Cons: 0.75 Acre means that's the maximum square footage it can store - you only have so much square feet you can map to mow. There are some tricks you can do to reduce your overall square footage by making different cut areas around you house vice doing a circle around your property, but you only have .75 acres of square footage to map. There is no mulcher so if the grass is tall you will be left with grass cuttings littering your yard for a few weeks or need a rake (not an issue if you routinely run it, just noting that can happen with tall grass). The only way to charge it is the charging port - I wish there was a plug in or the ability to hot swap batteries for quicker mowing. The software works, but can be improved upon. On an iPad it doesn't automatically flip for instance, but it is being updated (literally received a firmware update between getting it and this review and an app update while writing it). The GPS is so accurate mapping can be a pain (don't know if that's a con or not), but one wrong swerve a few inches off and you need to redo that section driving the robot back over it - map editing is a pain as there's no adjusting the map in the software itself yet, so you must run the mower back over that section. A "power saver mode" would be nice to have, but it also isn't there yet. The safety feature for manual mowing means you need to be within 20 feet of the robot - would be nice to have that be a little farther as again doing that with a cane is tough. Bottom line: Buy it. You will not be disappointed with a well-cut yard without having to lift a finger after set up. Product works well and while there can be improvements specifically to the software, overall it's 5 stars. ... show more

  • Five Stars — Impressive on Mountain Terrain and Saves Me Hours
Size: Mowing 1.25 Acres Style: Standard Version
Mammotion LUBA 3 AWD 5000 Review I am very pleased with the LUBA 3 AWD 5000, and I am glad I purchased it. Based on my experience so far, I would purchase it again. I have a couple of acres in the foothills with some steep grades, so my property is not exactly an easy test case for a robot mower. Even with that, LUBA has been very impressive. The biggest positive for me is how much time and labor it has already saved. Being able to tell it when to mow and where to mow, and then have it take off and do the work, is a huge benefit. I currently have 12 different tasks set up, and once those areas are created, it becomes much easier to manage the mowing around the property. As far as mowing performance goes, it does a great job in the areas where there is just grass, even on some of the more challenging hillsides. That has probably been one of the most impressive things about it so far. There are areas where I honestly feel like it looks like it might tip or fall over, but it does not. It keeps going and handles those areas better than I expected. My grass was pretty long at first, and LUBA tends to flatten tall grass as it runs over it rather than cutting it well. I ended up mowing with a regular gas-powered mower first, and that made a big difference. I have found that the key is to keep the grass short and stay on top of the mowing tasks. Once the grass is under control, LUBA does a much better job maintaining it. The main issues I run into are in areas with large amounts of pine needles and pinecones, which is to be expected. In those situations, when LUBA turns and cannot gain traction, it can dig into the ground while turning around and around, which sometimes makes it get stuck even more before it finally gets itself out. I do wish there were better turning options, because it only has two, and neither one is ideal for those conditions. That said, I really see this more as a difficult terrain issue than a major problem with the mower itself. I run it at the lowest speed possible so it can cut as effectively as possible, and even then, not all of the grass gets cut perfectly evenly. I can still see some longer pieces of grass in various places. But again, considering the terrain I am asking it to mow, I cannot really blame it for not handling every difficult situation perfectly. The app took some time to get used to. At first, it was a little difficult to navigate and manage, but after working with it for several weeks and creating tasks, channels, boundary zones, and different mowing areas, I have become much more proficient with it. The only app issue I still have not figured out is the mowing pattern setting. It seems like I should be able to set different mowing patterns for each individual task, since that is an option within each task. However, no matter what I do, it applies one mowing pattern to all tasks. Because of the various hills and slopes on my property, I constantly have to go back in and change it. I have not actually reached out to Mammotion about this yet, so it is possible there is a setting or fix I am missing. I purchased it in April of 2026, so I cannot speak to long-term durability or longevity yet. But so far, I am very impressed and very happy with it. There are a few issues, but they are not bad enough to change my overall opinion. For my property, LUBA has already saved me a lot of time and effort, and I am giving it five stars. ... show more

  • Works great once set up but don’t change any settings as you will lose your maps
Size: Mowing 1.25 Acres Style: Standard Version
This works great once you get it set up but DO NOT change your settings because if you do you will lose all your maps and you cannot save your maps! Customer service is ok but they are not too knowledgeable because if they don’t know the answer they tell you to delete your maps and start again. What they fail to realize is that it takes hours to create the map with all the no go zones and I think there should be a way to save your maps so that if you pick a setting you don’t like or does not work for you at least you could reload your maps. So I learned my lesson and will not change anything and if Mammotion reads this you need to find a way for the user to save and reload their maps and no go zones ... show more

  • Easy to set up - amazing technology
Size: Mowing 0.37 Acre Style: Standard Version
Delivery was earlier than stated. Set-up was simple, videos were helpful. I was concerned with how it would handle inclines, but the Luba managed my sloped yard with ease. I am still tinkering with the zone set-up, but it is not complicated. Make sure to know your preferred mowing heights before purchasing, so that you get the correct model. I like that you can vary the mowing direction easily. I would recommend the Luba 3. ... show more

  • be careful here
Size: Mowing 0.37 Acre Style: Standard Version
I would advise potential customers to approach with caution. My experience with customer support has been disappointing, particularly given the premium price of the product. Technical issues have not been handled with the level of professionalism or urgency one would expect. Communication has felt inconsistent and at times unhelpful, with progress seemingly dependent on repeated follow ups rather than proactive support. I currently have an unresolved case involving what appears to be a clear warranty issue, and the lack of timely resolution raises concerns about reliability and accountability. Overall performance of the product has also been inconsistent and at times laggy. this is my 2nd issue with the product within a year. At this price point, I expected a significantly higher standard in both product quality and customer care. Buyers should carefully weigh whether the premium cost is justified compared to alternative options available in the market. Worse this product was purchased via company directly. ... show more

  • 1.25 Acre limit includes no-go zones
Size: Mowing 1.25 Acres+garage Style: Standard Version
In all of our research on this model prior to purchasing, no where was it mentioned that the software limits the area to 5000 sq ft to include the no-go zones. We only have 1 acre of grass, but 2 driveways, a large home and very large patio that take the lot area to be 1.4 acres. The software won't allow it to map the full yard. Today we will attempt to map it into 2 zones and I will update the review if that works. But I wanted to make sure others that have a larger perimeter but not nearly the limit on grass are aware of this shortcoming. ... show more
