2 complaints 1: nudge the cables connected to this unit, and you lose connectivity, I have to tape it to my computer to stay connected, the double USB C plugs seem too shallow or loose. If it pulls away even the slightest bit, you lose connectivity. 2: The Ethernet port has a connector that is really flimsy, if you are using heavier Ethernet cable, just a slight bit of vertical lift, and the stationary part of the connector will snap out of its detente, and your cable will fall out if it doesn't have a really solid spring/clip. The black plastic part of the connector should have been either glued in, or heat fused in place. you can see the issue in the attached pictures. other than these complaints, the unit does what it's supposed to. Update 4/25/23: I never contacted customer service, just submitted this review. 2 days later, the seller contacted me, offering a complete satisfaction refund, which I received within a day! 1. Most of these Chinese companies either never respond to direct communication, or refuse to honor any warranty claims. 2. They never care enough to check their product reviews. 3. I have never had one offer a refund based on a โ€œfit &functionโ€ complaint! This is called CUSTOMER SATISFACTION! What an amazing concept! Iโ€™m so impressed, I intend to look for other products from this seller! P.S. The product functioned well, it just had a couple issues, that could be remedied during production. I had to add another star to the overall rating, for amazing customer care! Thank you for being different!! ... show more

Required deleting other network services and a restart of the Macbook for the Ethernet port to be recognized, but it works well and does provide gigabit speeds.

The product is good but there are 2 issues: 1. Heats up quickly 2. Need to be careful if you first connect it in the air and then putting it on the desk as you can damage your usb c ports

Definitely serves it's purpose. The Standard USB's are a little tight so when removing a USB its pretty easy to unplug the whole thing so you have to be careful with that. Speed does slow pretty significantly if all things are plugged in. On mine I had 2 standard USB (wireless mouse, and one for files), an HDMI out cable, and the standard charger, and the charging speed was slower and the file transfers were definitely slow, but all things considered this certainly did the job and is great at making your MAC more multi-use. ... show more
