  • Works great

  • Should come with the device.
This battery back up could not have been easier to set up or connect. In my opinion it is something that should come standard with the platform anyways. But I imagine with some people having battery back up separate already it’s a way to save a little bit on the cost. The cost of this wasn’t that much to warrant not buying this. We’ve already had one power outage since about this and it has worked flawlessly. It has maintained recordings even during the outage that we could preview later on. Installation could not be any more simple than with this product. All you need to do is just unplug the power feed into the hub, connect the battery back up to the hub and then put the power feed into the battery back up. Once it is fully charged you are all set. The manufacture is pretty solid and they do a lot of work with batteries and connectivity so I felt confident with this product. Based on experience I’ve had today I would recommend this as a battery back up that you should just have as part of your system. ... show more

  • Works good, easy install
I bought this as a backup battery for my Eufy home security system and my Eufy doorbell camera; now my system will continue to work in the event of a power outage for a long time.

  • Works great
This gives peace of mind in case of a power outage. I've had a couple outages since installing and it worked as described.

  • Great for home base 2.
At half price it’s a no brained.

  • This works great! But now I have buyers remorse.
I've had several power outages since I first bought this half a year ago and honestly it does the job very well. It keeps the homebase on so that the cameras connected to it can coninue to record and send it data in the event of a power outage. It takes up no space and it's not eysore because it seamlessly fits underneath the homebase 2. The only thing that didnt work was the app notifications but honestly that's probably because the homebase was the only thing on a battery backup but my home network router wasn't. This means whenever we lost power there was no way for the homebase to send out a notification to the eufy security app since that requires an internet connection. But if you buy this, you can count on all your battery powered cameras that are connected to your homebase to work as intended and continue to record/save footage when you lose power. My biggest gripe with this is that shortly after eufy released this product they released the homebase 3 which is in every which way better but the battery backup is not compatable with it. So basically this battery is going to be useless if you upgrade your homebase to homebase 3. Its the only reason I havent bought a homebase 3 honestly. My house is old and gets so many power outages throughout the year that it makes no sense for me to upgrade if the cams are gonna go down with the power again. I'd rather keep the homebase 2 until eufy comes up with a better solution to tackle power outages because in hurricane season looters are a problem in the area and I'd like to have my cameras working for as long as possible for that. Some may say I should buy a UPS to keep the router and the homebase active and I agree. But a good one is big bulky, uglier and way more expensive than this that I picked up for $30 and most UPS systems are not lithium so the battery life usually only lasts a few hours depending on the load. This easily outlives the $100 cyberpower ups I have for the home office right now. So it works great while I wait for either a better solution from eufy for homebase 3 or for a decent UPS to drop in price significantly. ... show more

Nuf said. Great unit for a reasonable price without having to buy a subscription service!

  • Simple Integrated UPS for Eufy
This battery backup serves as an uninterruptible power supply for Eufy Homebase 2.0. We have one Homebase at our network rack and it is on our main UPS. When I saw that Eufy added a UPS for satellite units, I knew I had to have one! While many of their new cameras have onboard storage, our cameras do not. When the power goes out, we dont have footage of who accesses our property and this could be problematic in the winter when surfaces are icy. I love how the unit is perfectly designed to integrate with the Homebase 2.0. It is very simple to set up and is seemless. Sure, you could build something for a little less, but it wouldnt have the aesthetic integration, nor the simple power cord management of this unit ... show more
