Edited Review: I think Amazon makes it really hard to contact your merchant to discuss troubleshooting issues. Fortunately, the merchant/seller was able to offer me a full refund or send a new one. I opted for a new one because I really did like it when I initially had it. Hopefully, it won't have the same issue again 6 months later. I will update if that's the case. The merchant also showed me some steps, but it still didn't work on the old one. However, on the newer one it did work. It was working GREAT and worked with my KVM switch so it made it easy for me to switch between my work laptop and my personal desktop. I used the docking station for my work laptop since I require more USB ports. It stopped working all of a suddenly today. I know: It's not my KVM switch because the dual monitors work fine when I switch to my personal desktop. It's not the HDMI cables because when I plug each one individually into my work laptop, they still appear as an extended monitor. It's not my work laptop because it turns on and can recognize the other USB devices in the dock station. For some reason, it's ONLY the HDMI ports. Everything else like the USBs work just fine and my work laptop can recognize those. However, the HDMI ports are broken. So beware! I tried finding tech support, but it's no longer available since I am past the return window. That's what I get for being cheap. I guess I should find the original OEM dock stations for my work laptop now. I really liked the quality of the material if it did work.     • Attached right away to my MacBook Air laptop and all ports work very well.

MacBook Air laptops are excellent machines but they don't offer a lot of ports for connecting other devices. This hub resolves that issue remarkably well. It fits perfectly into the dual Thunderbolt ports and leaves the MagSafe 3 port open for charging the laptop unlike some others that block that port. I have my desktop speakers in the headphone port, an external 27" monitor in the HDMI port, a USB receiver for a wireless mouse and keyboard, and a USB cord to another hub that sits behind my computer and connects external hard drives. All this and i still have my Thunderbolt ports open and one unused USB port. This is a well built piece of equipment and would even travel well in my laptop sleeve should I choose to take it with me when away from home. ... show more

We bought 8 of these for a customer instead of buying expensive Dell docks (which run over $250 each). They're only needed to connect dual monitors and some USBs. For their purpose, they work very well. plug and play, not special setup needed for the Dell XPS laptops they're connected to. Only reason I give them 4 stars instead fo 5 is because one of the docks was defective (HDMI port wouldn't work, showed connected but screen wouldn't display, tested with multiple cables). We could've returned it, but unfortunately, we were outside the return window and there was no way to contact the seller. We ended up calling it a loss and buying a new one. At $40 it's still a win. We'll see how long they last; they've only been in use for about a month so far. ... show more

I am having issues with the USB mouse and keyboard that I used with my prior Dell docking station. It lags horribly and can't keep up with my typing or mouse movements. I have hooked up a wired mouse and keyboard and it works fine, but the wireless are not functioning well. I tried using a second laptop with the set-up and my Lenovo is having the same exact issues. I have attempted another wireless/USB mouse and have the same issues. I cannot recommend this dock for anyone who uses a wireless set-up. If the setup is wired, then it should function well. Also, there is no power source with this dock; you must use your charging cord in the second USB-C port. Not all laptops have a second port (like my Lenovo) so this would be an issue for some. Husband is in IT and recommends a pass on this product. Spend more $$ and get a functional product. I will be returning this. ... show more

I had to replace my old docking station as it started playing up. It had difficulty coming back from sleep mode and messed up my intranet connection, getting blocked by VPN somehow. This new one solves that problem and appears to be much more solid. It also has more usb ports so I was able to retire my multi-port usb splitter. Small footprint. Note: I only have one large external monitor. I did have to buy a higher power USB C wall wort. The previous docking station used one wort for itself and passed through a second for my laptop. This uses one wort and steals some power for itself. ... show more
