Very easy installation, everything needed was supplied and it fit perfectly. There was even a grounding screw that my last fixture didn't have. The motion sensor has 3 settings, lo med high, I currently have it set to high and it's working out to 45'. With some adjustment I think that distance could be increased. The timer also has 3 settings, 1 min 3 min & 10 min, and works as expected. The sockets are adjustable allowing you to get the light where you want it. I've only had this up for a few days but so far it seems great and I'm very happy.

One of the few floodlights you can buy which let you install your own bulbs. During install I ran into some issues with lack of clarity in the instruction manual. Once I figured them out the install was easy and the unit works great. Watch those distance selections - the 70 foot one works on things you may not really want - like a car driving by.

My mom purchased a Utilitech 110-Degree 100 Wattage 2-Head Motion Activated Flood light from the local hardware store about 2 months ago. The motion sensor and timer circuit has already failed at turning the light off. It sometimes can not detect motion to trigger the the flood lights. Customer reviews on the local hardware store's website has some complaints about this same problem manifesting after five or more months of use. Also, this particular security light has none replaceable LED light bulbs. I purchased the LUTEC 1800 LM LED Motion Sensor with 3000K LED light bulbs to replace the junky security light purchased from local hardware store. LUTEC was easy to install. The mounting screw was slightly too long for the anchor bracket. I managed to make it work. After installation was achieved, light was tested for range detection before setting the timer to 10 minutes. The photo sensor has a built-in LED light that blinks when it senses motion. An 8-year-old security light that is similar to this one that is attached to the rear of the house does not have this feature. Both the sensor and timer works on this unit. It senses motion and triggers the flood lights and after 10 minutes turns them off. Lastly, you can use PAR38 halogen bulbs with these if you prefer those over LED bulbs.

Easy installation and adjustment! It has a good light that covers my driveway. I have it set for three minutes but it can stay on for fifteen minutes. White should blend well with almost any exterior color.

I bought this to replace an LED motion sensor outdoor light that failed just after the 3-year warranty expired. As the LEDs were not replaceable it might have been the electronics that failed. But the price of that all-metal unit was about one-half of the price of this LUTEC. And the LUTEC has metal light hoods but plastic sensor and wall mount. Hope it will hold up better as getting up on a ladder to pull these units out and replace them is a chore. I now prefer models that have replaceable LEDs. This one meets this criterion. Another comment is that the switches under the sensor are very sensitive and you have to be careful in setting them as they don't "click" in place to the setting you want very positively and slide too easily. Mainly it is priced about twice as much as other such LED motion detectors. Hope it holds up or up on the ladder again... 1022/2025, updating my review, based upon a very acceptable response from the seller: We fully understand your concerns about the product, but please note that our products also come with a 3-year warranty. Also, we would like to explain why the base and sensor of our product are not made of metal. 1. Our sensor detects motion through heat sensing to trigger the light. Using metal materials could potentially interfere with the light's sensing performance. 2. A metal base could rust during rainfall, potentially damaging internal wiring and creating a fire hazard. We understand your disappointment regarding the lack of an all-metal product at this price point. However, our product detail page clearly outlines all materials used. We select only the highest-grade PC plastic available on the market, ensuring safe and reliable use. So nice to see this support and that our reviews, shared, are read by some sellers and responded to so I can further respond to you, Amazon people. All good here. Uprating to 4 stars (better price would have earned the 5) and increasing my confidence in the brand.
