I bought this pillow for my mom to use when sitting since she suddenly had a lot of pain due to arthritis (she is a senior) and she loves it. She uses it when she sits on the couch around the house and then she took it with her on a long flight and she found it really helpful. It's a bit bulky, so keep that in mind if you're looking to travel with it, but it worked really well regardless (she just adjusted some of her carry-on luggage to make sure it would be ok in the bag that goes under the seat). This was the only pillow that appeared to be thinner than the others on Amazon, while also being cheaper so I purchased it. I was surprised when it arrived because I thought that it would be too thick for my back but the first night was great. Sometimes I get pain from using it, but I do feel like my back with it, is in the correct position versus without it where my lower back arch may be collapsing from having zero support. ... show more

I use this mostly on domestic economy flights but occasionally use it when I work from home. Good support and I loooove it. Really nice on aircraft’s with less cushioned seats (most Boeing -800’s) does not roll up easily but fits in most large totes (travel pro women’s totes and LV never full) and can be squished in a backpack or a structured medium size personal item. Every night I had to sit with a heating pad on my lower back. My PT suggested trying a lumbar pillow. After looking at and reading reviews a ton of them I decided to try this. I bought 2, one for my desk chair and the other to use when sitting on the couch. It was instant relief. I can sit with no back pain, I haven’t used the heating pad once since they arrived. Even when my back hurts before sitting with the pillow, it stops hurting the instant I sit back against it. If they ever stop manufacturing this pillow I hope I know so I can buy a dozen more! I have 2 bulging discs on my lower back and have been unable to sit for long periods of time for several months but this pillow got me through a 14 hour road trip! I was also able to use the pillow at night to support my back while staying at hotel which had a medium firm bed. However, I was not able to use it on my firm bed. I had spinal fusion surgery on my back and both of my shoulders replaced all within 2yrs. I'm still going to physical therapy for my last shoulder surgery. So I have to sleep in my lazy boy chair. It was giving me no support for my back. This cushion is the perfect size for my chair and gives me the right amount of support I need.
