  • Love this on theory and when works it's fantastic.
Color: Black 2 Pack
First set didn't last but ordered replacement. I love this as it allows my cat to go in and out and keeps my sister's dog from eating all my cat's food. Before these, I used shoes to keep the door open enough for the cat and one behind the door to keep it from being pushed in. Boy was it a piano in the a@@ for us to get in and out. Now these has been a game changer! So easy to get and out and just enough room for the cat and no dumb dog. Unfortunately, took only once for it to break thanks to dog. The screw in part is too short to wedge enough in door and the part the you screw in to pulls out of the plastic under any pressure. I am using them flipped the opposite way as it seems how the holes were filled with rivet part can pull out the other way easier. I plan to use E6000 or something similar to adhere them better in place so they can't pull out. I guess if they do, I'll either but a new set or make my own at that point. Would gladly pay more for a better quality product similar to this one. ... show more

  • These work well, mostly
Color: 2 Pack
We bought these to keep the dog out of the master bedroom and the laundry room, where the cat's litter box is. They work really well, allowing the cat to come and go, but keeping the dog out. The latch slips over the door knob on one end, and a headed metal bolt fits into the recess in the striker plate. Unfortunately, our robot vacuum will bump it and cause it to unlatch as it makes it's pass around the perimeter of the room. Other than that minor inconvenience, it's an ingenious little device and works well. ... show more

  • Finally! One of these that doesn't let cats through!
Color: 2 Pack
I've been searching for months for a solution for my situation, and I finally found one that works! I have two cats and a while back my partner's cat moved in with us. Unfortunately their cat is an old lady who just wants to be left alone and my two youngsters want so badly to play with her. So they absolutely do not leave her alone. I live in a tiny house and the only practical room with a door on it to keep her in for her to have some personal space is my bedroom, but my bedroom doesn't get any AC or heat when the door is closed. I've been trying for a long time to find a reliable way to prop the door open just an inch or two to get some airflow in the bedroom for her without letting the other cats in. Most of these door latch products are designed to let cats through but not dogs, so none of them were working for my purposes since the cats could still get through. This is the only one I've been able to find that is adjustable down to the size I need it to be (see pictures for demonstrations from my most cooperative cat). I used to have to set a dumbbell behind the door and stuff a t-shirt in front of it to keep it from closing. But this is soooo much better. It's amazing how easy it is to use from either side of the door and how sturdy it is despite requiring no installation! I love that I didn't have to drill any holes into my wall or the door or use any strong adhesives that might rip paint off! You seriously just hang it on the doorknob and then lift the other end up to stick in door latch and the door is going nowhere - maybe a centimeter or two of wiggle range, but the door doesn't open up or close shut and the strap doesn't fall out of the latch hole even with some door jostling from my kitties. And since it came with two of them, I use the other one on my bathroom door for essentially the same purpose - keep the cats out but let the air through. My bathroom doesn't get the best ventilation, so I've started using this to prop the door open a little while I shower. It keeps the kitties out, maintains my privacy, and helps keep the bathroom from steaming up! Amazing! It's also great for kicking the cats out of my bedroom at night if they're keeping me from getting any sleep while still getting airflow from my AC/heat unit in the next room over. I also think the design of the product is super cute without being obnoxious. Definitely recommend! ... show more

  • Cats and dogs living together, with a little less chaos
Color: Black 2 Pack
These are a great concept and even better because they are cute paw shapes! Pros: Keeps the dogs out of the room so no more munching on "Kitty Rocha" from the cat box, eating cat food, or pestering the cat in general. Cons: They are pretty stiff and the doorknob loops are narrow. Getting them over the doorknob is a real challenge. When they are not in use they swing around and scratch the door. Wish I could easily remove them to avoid the scratches or that they were soft enough they wouldn't scratch the doors up in the first place. ... show more

  • Not for chonky cats!
Color: 2 Pack
This is a good idea and works as described. However, if you have a very chonkky cat, the opening of the door will not be wide enough. Company needs to add another notch or two to allow for larger cats.

  • These work!
Color: 2 Pack
I was skeptical as to how the little metal thing would actually stay in the latch area, but it does indeed stay! It allows for an opening just wide enough to let my cats through, so it's perfect for my needs. I have it at the widest setting, but if you have a very fat cat, you might wish to have a holder that will allow for a slightly wider opening. I've also discovered an unintentional benefit. I also use this to keep my bedroom door semi-closed at night, even though the cat and dog are both in the bedroom at night. It makes a rattling noise when my dog tries to get out, which wakes me up and allows me to realize that the dog needs to go out! This is great because the only reason he ever wakes up is on the rare occasion that he really needs to go outside. ... show more

  • Great idea but….
Color: 2 Pack
My 7 month border collie pushed his way thru to get to the litter box which caused the pin and grommet to come off together. Now trying to find something to separate the two pieces.

  • It works!
Color: 2 Pack
I honestly didn't believe something so simple could be so effective, but it totally works! Literally all you do is put one end on the door handle and stick the pin on the other side into the hole in the door frame. No drilling or anything. The door holder is stiff enough to keep the door open a few inches but definitely has dog-proofed the door to the cat food and litter. Even giving the door a good shove doesn't dislodge the door holder. I totally recommend these! ... show more
