  • Good deal
So for the price (292 at time of my purchase) these headers work pretty good. They fit it from the top which was great. Plenty of clearance and dont hit anything. You will have to use angled plug wires or use the kevlar/fiberglass heat shield covers, I used both. The only "issue" i have with them is they are close to the frame rails in the squarebodies. With that said i had to do some modifications to my current exhaust which eventually led to just redoing it completely for simplicity. Overall, they look good and work great. ... show more

  • “They fit well” comes with will and determination.
Installed these headers on the L33 Vortec power plant in my 1979 El Camino; 4X4. Its chassis came from a 1972 K20 and the front motor cross member has been replaced with a Pacific Coast LSX unit. I also have a 4L60 transmission. So yes… the headers fit. There were several outstanding unaddressed issues though. 1. The O2 Sensor bungs point directly at the transmission. Had to plug and relocate both. Had to make a 36” extension wire harness for the passenger side. 2. Had to modify the 4L60 shifter linkage be cause it was too close; see pic. 3. Oil pressure sending unit was too close to a header tube; wrapped the sensor; see pic. 4. Header stud bolts were pointless. I couldn’t navigate the headers past them. So what’s the point and all the hoopla. I cut 3/16 of threading off the OEM exhaust manifold bolts and stopped the “bottoming out” issue. The header gaskets weren’t designed for hanging in place either. I had a great fight with the passenger side. Very tight fit. 5. Rather than reversing the shackle bolts that create an interference issue, I cut the protruding threads off. Nuts are self-locking anyway. 6. The 90 degree cutoff / grinder wheel is your best friend. I DID find it necessary to shave a little off the left upper frame rail due to two tubes in intimate contact with it; 1/8” ... show more

  • Doesn’t fit c10 or c1500
Absolutely does NOT fit a c10 or c1500 with an LS they hit the frame hard on both sides. Without serious modifications they DO NOT fit. I’ve tried a 78 c10 and an 89 c1500 will not fit either

  • 4x4 LS swap
Fits great on my 4x4 square body LS swap. Only fitment issues where the TH350 bell housing ears (shaved them off) and the leaf spring bolts. Cut them shorter and flipped them the other way. I also the stock clam shell motor mounts with Amazon adapters. Will need to figure out how to run exhaust tho. Leaving this review for the guys doing a 4x4 ls swap and looking for header. Also these do seem like good quality checked the welds and they were good too. They do come with gaskets but you should Be buying the metal ones. Believe my frame is from a 78 square doesn’t have the cab mount cross member. ... show more

  • Fit my 89 solid axle swapped k1500
They fit my solid axle swapped 1989 k1500 perfectly. Had to cut the right side ear off of the th400. Worked great with the amazon motor mounts as well.

  • Solid deal for LS swapped square body
The media could not be loaded. I have a 1987 Suburban V20. 4wd with a 5.3 swap and th400 transmission. These manifolds bolted right up. No clearance issues. My motor mounts are lifted about 1/8 of an inch to clear my oil pan. Even without raising the motor these will fit just fine. No problems installing o2 sensors either. Collector o.d. Measures just over 3 inches. ... show more
