Features

  • 16-Point Auto LevelingLonger LK4 X 3d printer equipped with 16-point precision leveling to ensure the correct distance between the platform and nozzles. A leveled print bed is a prerequisite for successful 3D printing results. Auto-leveling saves you time by eliminating the negative effects of a warped print bed, including clogged nozzles, model scratches, or poor adhesion.
  • Proximal ExtruderLonger L4 X adopts a self-developed direct-drive extruder, which can better control the filament motion, extrude reliably, retract accurately, and with less motor power. Compatible with PLA/ABS/PETG/TPU flexible filaments.
  • Silent Open Source MotherboardLonger LK4 X the brand new 32-bit motherboard is equipped with 4 ultra-quiet drivers, and the low noise during operation is less than 50dB, allowing you to enjoy the fun of silent printing. With open-source firmware, you can try your fantastic ideas on LK4 X by changing the G code.
  • Removable PEI Magnetic Platform1. Easy to use: Peel off the protective layer of the bottom tape, glue the magnetic base on the heat bed, the flexible stainless platform can be easily attached and removed, without clips to hold it in place. 2. Easy Mold pickup: Prints come off the surface easily when the temperature of the heated bed reaches room temperature. If the print is still stuck, gentle flexing of the plate will help remove it.
  • Dual Blower KitThe LONGER LK4 X 3D Printer use the newly upgraded cooling fans - dual blower kit which can promote quick cooling on the extruded filament, improves the quality of printing, have strong power on the cooling nozzle to get a better and smooth surface of model.

  • Could Have Been 5 Stars But For One Glaring Defect
***3/05/23 UPDATE*** Someone mentioned how different the Longer LK5 PRO is once you've switched to a direct drive setup. Very true. After finding parts on Thingiverse (stepper housing and carriage plus slicing them for better fit) and Amazon (metal extruder drive feed kit) I converted one of my LK5s to better print flexible filament. On both stock LK5s the TPU was getting jammed in the extruder drive feed early in prints. After the conversion all prints came out good but not great; I was just happy I didn't have to sit and nurse all the prints for the first 2 layers so they didn't jam. I just don't know if it was worth it just to do flexible filaments when my Anycubic Chiron prints TPU so much better. I've also replaced the other LK5's nozzle to hardened steel which has buggered up an otherwise extremely consistent history of excellent prints in PLA with now messy, over extruded prints. Lastly, the pneumatic bowden connectors on both printers' extruder drive feeds are of very poor quality and have failed twice. So again, buyer beware. Still, hard to find a better value in a printer and good learning experiences. I recently bought two (2) LK5s; they're my 3rd and 4th 3D printers behind my Flashforge Creator Pro and Anycubic Chiron. While supposedly limited in types of filament choices (I've only tried PLA but might try TPU), the LK5s are excellent machines with only one glaring defect: the LCD touchscreen won't turn off with the power button and is instead improperly wired and powered by the USB cable🙄 I contacted Longer on the machine's obvious lack of QC. Someone there pretended to be someone else (yikes!). They then decided to play embarrassingly silly games with me in order to return/replace my machine. And they couldn't (refused) guarantee the second machine would arrive in normal operating condition. I just ordered a second machine as I was going to send back the first but ended up keeping both when the second arrived with the same touchscreen problem. So, buyer beware. But 4 stars after all that AND they pulled that on my birthday? Well, yeah. I've been printing on these machines nearly nonstop for 2 weeks with numerous colors/brands of PLA at .1 to .3 and the output is near flawless print after print. I was also very impressed that the machines are near silent and have given me no trouble otherwise. The only upgraded parts I needed to print were a bed/cable clamp; this printer is fine right out of the box. And while I will change to stainless nozzles, the stock one is currently sufficient. If Longer cut out all the silly stuff and employ some QC they could really make a go as a reliable, consumer friendly and sincere brand which should definitely be considered for your next 3D printer. *As for leveling this printer: do yourself a boat and get the Filament Friday E-Leveler and run the file for EnderMax off the memory stick for incredibly easy, perfect bed leveling. ** Sunlu filament dryers are now indispensable in my setup. I would strongly recommend one sitting next to the printer running filament straight into the extruder tube. ***If you use Simplify3D (works perfect with the LK5) you need to contact them for a profile so that it recognizes your printer with an imported file they'll send you. ... show more

  • Didn’t work the first time
Size: LK5 Pro
The printer didn’t work at all. The power supply is heard running but nothing else. The only way I could get the touch screen to work was through my laptop. The computer supplied the power to the touch screen. I keep getting a homing error#9 alarm that tells you to power off the printer. Amazon is sending a replacement, so we shall see if this is just a fluke. Update- I got the replacement printer right away and it works flawlessly. For a lower budget printer, I would have to give this one a thumbs up. The speed is okay and the print quality is pretty decent. I upgraded my extruder feeder to all metal and the leveling wheels. The bed stays fairly level print to print, and most of the parts come off easily after the bed cools. I have had zero issues with adhesion deficiencies on the glass like I do with my Bibo. ... show more

  • Great for PLA, as for ABS it's a toss up.
Works great with PLA, not so much with ABS. This is honestly a great 3s printer to start out with, it's not self-leveling but you can always upgrade freely. As for the pros: easy to use, nice with and height, simple to assemble and open source for the most part. I've been able to produce multiple items measuring 250mm x 250mm x 375mm without a problem with PLA. The Cons: You can use ABS to a point, the max bed heat is 100°c and the max nozzle temp is 250°c, with that being said my experience with ABS has been hit and miss. For items 45mm x 45mm it has worked, anything over a base and height you start having problems. First problem you'll run into is the raft raising off the bed no matter what you add (tape, hair spray) glue does work but still anything close to 50% of it's max height will still separate. Overall this is a great starter 3d printer to cut your teeth on, the instructions on leveling are a bit missing so just op to using the sheet of paper method and you'll do just fine. ... show more

  • To say im happy.......
Size: LK5 Pro
I have 4 fdm and 3 resin printers and this is my new fav. I am building another 3d Printed R2D2 and will buy 2 more of these. At 300x300x400mm print surface its the perfect size, and an amazing price. Took 20 min to assemble 10 minutes to level with a feeler gauge I bought from Harbor Freight, it printed a test print perfect on my first print. The best part of this printer is most printers when it runs out of filament (when your asleep it seams) most quality ones will resume but you must be their to catch otherwise the bed cools down and the print pops off ruining the print. This printer stayed hot for over 3 hours till I noticed allowed me to change filament, with the model still stuck to the plate. You can see the transition to black filament in picture. Dont bother with adding the auto level Bl touch this was so easy to level with a feeler gague 3 trips around then perfect HUGE prints. I recommend fully! ... show more
