  • Newbies This Is The One. That’s Me I’m Newbie
If you’re new to 3D printing and are looking for the printer that user friendly, comes with the accessories that you’ll soon learn are needed, and one that allows you to print in single and multicolor, than look no further. I’m super new to 3D printing and I’ve owed 1.5 printers so far. The .5 was the first one I purchased from another seller that didn’t work out the box so it was returned. That’s kinda how I came this one. After numerous YouTube tutorials you come to see essentially if you’re going to print in multicolor that you’re going to need something to place your spools in. The Ace Pro was perfect because now I could store my filament. Being new to this I was clueless that filament can retain moisture, so you’ll eventually need a dryer depending on your climate. But once again the Ace Pro has you covered because it works as a dryer as well. The print quality is good. I’ve had some bad prints, but they could be to user error. The speed still takes hours so be patient. If you’re planning on printing in multicolor, be prepared to waste more filament than the project itself. From most reviews on all multicolor printers I see that the waste is unavoidable. This is definitely a great buy and I would recommend it to anyone. Software has a slight learning curve, but as soon as you can figure out it’s as simple as click and print, your printing is much more enjoyable. Oh and just a quick heads up to save you some time and energy. If you’re using the Ace Pro during the initial setup and you’re feeding the filament into the automatic feeder, it will only feed part way and stop. That’s completely normal and it’s not broke. Push extrude on the control panel and it will continue feeding the filament into the extruder. This little step frustrated me for 2 days until I figured it out. If you’re looking to print immediately, there are several well stocked sites that offer “Free” files to print. Whether it’s household items, car parts, or toys, they got you covered. You’re going to have a blast with this printer. Especially the camera. Oh yes it has a camera that makes super cool quick videos which is a plus considering some other brands have the camera as an add on. Another perk to this printer. I hope this review helps you make your choice. Happy printing ... show more

  • This is oddly satisfying!
So here is an honest review from a diyer/tinkerer/jack of all trades. I'll start out saying this was my first 3d printer, never printed anything previously or had done any 3d modeling(my hobbies include woodworking, laser engraving, and microprocessors). So don't let that stop you. I finally pulled the trigger black Friday 25' and got the kobra 3 combo. This thing was awesome, I've wanted a 3d printer for years. Set up was a cake walk if you can cut a few zip ties and follow basic instructions. Printing is 100% doable right out of the box. Will it be perfect, no but it will be functional and with a little work it can be a heck of a lot better. This was so easy my wife saw it, went online and took it over for a week making toys for my daughters friends in preschool. She liked it so much we bought a second kobra 3 combo so she could print with more colors and i can have my toy back too... even if it is in single filament hah! But seriously, it's fun. I've made premade toys, jewelry, lithophanes, functional things like a paper towel holder to mug stackers in my hutch. . I've even learned enough fusion 360 (pro tip ai will walk you through step by step how to create what you want) to create custom adapter in cad for my job allowing me to fit the newer unger nlite v2 pole to the factory standard goosenecks. So yea there you have it, a few weeks into starting this hobby and we now have 2 kobra 3 v2, 2 ace pro units. A total run time of approximately 238 hours and climbing. 98 prints done. and if i'm being completely honest i've had one glob that clogged massively, my fault, probably about 5 failed prints (learning curve) and oddly the 2nd printer came clogged from the factory. it's fun, it's satisfying and i can officially say I've created and manufactured my own product from design to manufacturing. ... show more

  • Take your chances
Received my machine on Thursday evening, built it. Came home from work on Friday and within 5 hours this printer had self destructed during one of many failed prints. Shipped back to Amazon on Saturday morning, never had a machine fail so badly, so fast. The price and combo ACE should have tipped me off that quality would not be a top concern for Anycubic. The self leveling was a nightmare, I would be being gracious to say that it successfully determine where the build plate was in 1 out of 10 attempts, you would be better off going back to a sheet of paper to measure Z depth. Not to be all negative, the ACE worked well, slicer is workable, app tracked progress and if the unit had lasted more than a day, I would have hooked up a camera that would also be viewable. So basically everything but the actual printer worked as it should. The printer has so much potential, but unless Anycubic takes a long hard look at making an actual quality machine, we can look forward to Kobra 4 next year and Korbra 5 the yea after that with no real value added. Would I recommend buying this machine? No. But who knows, you may just be lucky enough to get a working unit that will print in multiple colors, dry filament, and cut hours off your print times. Good Luck! ... show more

  • Best bang for the money?
I have been beyond happy with this purchase! This is my first printer and the fact that it comes with the ACE Pro makes it so much more worth it! The ACE Pro has the dryer option so you don't have to worry about damp filament. Super easy to make changes on the ACE through your phone app or PC. The quality of the prints have met my wants and needs so far. I just made a face mask for my daughter and it came out with extreme detail! Yes, it is a fast printer, but I recommend being patient and allow it to print at a reasonable rate so the quality will be better. The Auto-Bed Leveling makes it super easy and no-tough needed to begin the print. Setup was super easy and I started very quickly. I am actually thinking about purchasing a second Combo to add to my collection! ... show more
