  • Good Product.
Size: S-Wash & Cure 3.0
Over all, this is a very good product. However, to cut to the chase, I prefer using an ultrasonic cleaner and a homemade UV curing chamber. Here are a few of the pros, cons, and reasons to back up my preferences. Pros: Simplicity (Two machines in one) Pretty good at washing parts (reason for "Pretty good" explained later) Amazing at curing parts (the UV LEDs are super powerful) Attention to safety (the lid is UV blocking and there is a safety switch that shuts down the machine if the lid is removed) Simple user interface Works with a pretty small amount of cleaning fluid (there is an included bracket that lowers the bed to the surface of the liquid) Cons: Price (see below for further detail) Can't use both the cleaning and curing features simultaneously In all, this is a very useful piece of equipment. However, let's go into further detail on a couple of the points made above. Let's start with my comment that it does a "Pretty good" job at cleaning. Though the cleaning system does a surprisingly decent job at removing excess resin from the surface of the prints, it lacks the penetrating capability of an ultrasonic cleaner. With an ultrasonic cleaner, the part gets cleaned inside and out. This is important because resin printers can't really print infill. This means that either you print with 100% infill (i.e. solid) or no infill (i.e. hollow). Because the ultrasonic cleaner uses, well, ultrasonic waves to clean, these waves can penetrate the walls of the print and clean the inside as well. And finally, let's talk price. Though this machine is pretty good at what it does, I don't think it is worth the $150 price tag (as is the price at the time of the writing of this review). I say this because of the all the other methods of doing the things this machine does (sometimes even better) but at a cheaper price. For example, I can get an ultrasonic cleaner (big enough to put the entire build plate into) for around $80 and a string of UV LEDs for $10. So, with a little DIY (to build the curing chamber) I can have equivalent capability for $60 less. In conclusion, this is an all around good machine. I believe that you can make something better, but, since this is the only all-in-one cure/wash station I can find, I would recommend it to anybody that doesn't want to mess with the DIY side. ... show more

  • Way more useful than anticipated
Size: S-Wash & Cure 3.0
I expected this device to be a positive improvement for my 3d printing, but I hadn't anticipated the kind of difference it would make. Like most people I saw this device, thought "Eh, kind of interesting, but it just does things I already have a set up for." Eventually though I was convinced to take a chance on it (being stuck at home for the coronavirus social distancing/quarantining certainly helped since I was doing more printing as a result). I was quite surprised. First, it was a big space saver. My old set up was a tupperware of IPA for initial wash, an ultrasonic cleaner for a second rinsing, and then a 5 gallon bucket lined with UV leds with a solar powered rotating display stand. This device replaced all of that and it left me with a lot of space. That extra space has also helped me keep the work area cleaner. Second, it's really convenient. The alternate means of immersing the prints, the wide platform for curing, and plenty of other little things show that this is a device that some thought went into. It's well designed and it does its jobs well. It's hard to point to a single thing, but it definitely makes what is often the most tedious parts of resin printing faster and more enjoyable. The only thing I would put as a warning - the manual doesn't say this (at least not anywhere I saw), but none of the functions work without the protective cover on. This makes sense for the cure mode, but was very confusing when I was attempting to clean some prints the first time. I nearly thought the machine was broken until I tried putting the cover on to see if that made a difference (after at least 15 minutes of trying it in every other possible configuration and with multiple different outlets). If you can spare the funds and are thinking about this device, I strongly recommend making the purchase. ... show more

  • A Great Investment For Anyone Who Is Into Resin Printing A Great Investment For Anyone Who Is Into Resin Printing
Size: S-Wash & Cure 3.0
I have been resin printing for about a year and a half. In that time, I have tried my fair share of DIY washing and curing setups. From multiple jars of IPA to UV Lights glued onto containers, or just leaving prints outside in the sun, I’ve tried it all. I recently learned of Anycubic’s Wash and Cure station and decided to give it a try. This machine has definitely streamlined my post-processing. The machine comes with a large container to hold your IPA or other cleaning liquid, and there is an agitator blade in the bottom which is controlled by magnets to ensure a secure, leak-proof containment. You can choose 2, 4 or 6 minute intervals, and half way through the cycle, the agitator blade reverses ensuring flowing cleaner will wash your parts from both directions. The machine comes with 3 ways to submerge your parts. The first is a metal basket which you can put the parts in if you’ve already removed them from the build plate. There are also a fixed and adjustable build plate holder. This allows you to submerge the build plate so it gets cleaned at the same time as the printed part. The build plate holders are designed to fit most resin printer models, though I had to modify the diameter of the metal connector slightly to get it to hold my Elegoo Mars build plate securely. When it’s time to post-cure your parts, there is a clear curing platform that you port into the middle of the machine. After placing the piece on the platform and placing the lid over the machine, you can set it to curing mode and, like the washing mode, choose 2, 4 or 6 minute cure time. Once started, an array of UV lights is activated while the curing platform rotates 360 degrees. This machine makes the post-printing process so much cleaner and easier. No more swirling printed parts around in a jar of IPA with tongs. No more cleaning the build plate or having to use a homemade UV curing box. I would highly recommend this machine for anyone who is into resin printing. ... show more

  • The wash and cure station by Anycubic is a MUST! The wash and cure station by Anycubic is a MUST!
Size: S-Wash & Cure 3.0
So recently I took the plunge on my first resin printer experience. I had a small background in FDM printers but was looking for higher definition with my prints. After some research I kept hearing about Anycubic being a big contender in the SLA space. I ended up purchasing the Mono X and the wash and cure station as well. The package showed up and upon opening it I first noticed how well the machines were packed. Everything came in perfect condition. The instructions were clear, bright, and very easy to understand. Both wash and cure station and the printer were both set up within a matter of minutes. I followed the instruction and I ready for my first test print. The print went flawlessly. It was a really great first experience in SLA. The test came out in a few hours and I immediately took advantage of the wash station. This was quickly and obviously money well spent. The print came out clean in just a few minutes and after a few more min of curing I was done. I couldn’t believe how simple it really was. The following day I decided to put the printer to the rest. I printed a full build plate of a highly detailed model and was blown away but how well the mono 4k screen captured the details. As a full time artist this new tool will change everything and will be instrumental in bringing my digital sculptures to life! I plan on doing a full and immersive review of both machines on my YouTube Channel which can be found at BogleArts on YT. I’m attaching pics of my printer set up, the prints I’ve made so far, and some tools I found to help make printing a little easier. The customer service with Anycubic also deserves to be mentioned. Between the customer service and the Mono X community online this is a particularly great printer choice for anyone looking to get into SLA printer to ready to step it up from a small printer to A medium sized machine with a 4k Mono Screen. I plan on updating this review every few months to keep others informed on my printing journey. Stay tuned. ... show more

  • Watch out for the cheap components Watch out for the cheap components
Size: S-Wash & Cure 3.0
Had to return the original order for a replacement. Replacement is a mixed bag. It comes packaged very well, with pretty good instructions. The machine does what it is supposed to very well, washes your resin prints and then cures them. It is easy to use. Most of the materials used to build this are very good and sturdy, but beware of the cheap components where they cut corners, like with the power brick. The same day I pulled my unit out of the box the cord came loose immediately, where the cord meets the brick. I had to put a huge gob of heated glue on the unit to keep the cord in place and not moveable (see picture). I knocked off a star for that. ... show more

Simple to use, the small lamp helps a lot to cure hard to reach places inside hollowed prints. The basket is made of plastic, so not worries about rust.

  • Get it out of your Wishlist and into your Cart....It's worth it. Get it out of your Wishlist and into your Cart....It's worth it.
Size: S-Wash & Cure 3.0
Although I'm pretty adept at FDM printing, I'm very new to resin (SLA) printing. I knew when I decided to dive into SLA that I would want a nice setup for washing and curing my prints. I also wanted something that looked good too. I didn't just want a cardboard box with a light over it. I originally couldn't justify the price of the AnyCubic Wash & Cure, so I scoured Amazon for parts to make my own "nice looking" cure station. By the time I found a setup I liked, I realized that I was almost spending just as much, so I went ahead and bought the AnyCubic. Honestly, I'm glad I did. This thing makes washing and curing so easy it's worth the price. I set it up on my workstation with a silicone mat and some paper towels and I was in business. All I have to do is throw my build plate into the AnyCubic and the machine washes both my print AND my build plate (bonus). I also have the option of setting the print in the provided basket and washing it that way too. Once it's done washing, I set my print on a paper towel, dry it off, swap out the container for the platform on the AnyCubic and set it to cure. PROS: * Can be used with just about any resin printer. It works just as well with my QIDI Shadow as it does for AnyCubic's resin printers. If you have a super large print (like something that could be printed on the S-Box or the Saturn) you would likely have a problem with the size, but most prints will fit in this machine. * Comes with extras that allow you to wash on or off the build plate. * Seriously easy to use. * Timer options. 2, 4, and 6 minutes. For both washing and/or curing. * Stop button so you can stop mid-wash or mid-cure if needed * Excellent washing. I mean it, this sucker creates a tornado. It gets in those hard to reach spaces. And it changes spin direction halfway through the wash. * Safety - it only works when the lid is on. So you don't have to worry about being blinded by UV light if you accidentally start it without the lid on (ask me how I know) * Can handle any liquid. I've used IPA, Mean Green, Simple Green, and Denatured Alcohol. It works great with all of them. (Denatured Alcohol works the best for me.) * Looks and feels great. It has a minimal foot print and can easily be placed next to the resin printer on an IKEA Lack table (you FDMers out there know what I mean, right?) It's also solid. It doesn't feel like cheap plastic. Not even the lid. * They have their own Facebook Group with active AnyCubic employees CONS: Not a lot, to be honest, but if I had to list any... * Longer time options. Maybe a 10 or 12 minute option added. * Fingerprints, ammIright? * I'd love for it to be a tad bigger. Or hopefully have AnyCubic offer another larger-sized station. I plan to eventually upgrade to a larger resin printer, but I'm hoping someone (*cough*AnyCubic*cough*) will come out with a good super-sized wash and cure station first. * Additional containers. I'd love to have a second container to rinse my prints without having to swap out the liquid (they are already offering this in the Facebook group, and hopefully will be easily available on Amazon soon). All-in-all I highly recommend it. It's worth it. It really is. ... show more
