Sometimes you just need a lid! How much do I like this lid? I bought it TWICE, when the first one got misplaced during a move and I constantly think about buying a smaller one for my 10 1/2 cast iron skillet. I have a cast iron lid that I bought to fit the smaller skillet and find that if I am cooking something where I NEED a lid, I'd rather use the larger skillet with this lid. It's lighter, easier to clean, and you can see how things are progressing without lifting up the lid. The knob is a little wobbly feeling but I've never had an issue with it. ... show more

Though some may say that it may be a little pricey for a lid, what they don't realize is that even though they may find a less expensive 12-in. lid, it may not fit as well as the one that was designed for the actual pan. It won't be as air tight because it's actually designed for the actual Lodge pan; while some may say who cares? It's just a lid. I have cast iron lids for most of my cast iron cookware, but I truly like this one and the one for my 15 in skillet. They're light, durable and able to withstand a high enough heat in the oven that makes them highly functional. Hope they make one for the 17 inch skillet as well, at some point.

    • Knob Comes Off!
I bought this in 2021 and have used it about 25 times. I run it through the dishwasher to clean. After the most recent cycle the knob came off and won't re-attach. The screw isn't stripped and I can't seem to determine why the knob won't tighten enough to stay on. Otherwise this fits my OXO 12" non-stick skillet very well. Just not happy about the longevity of the lid knob. Not sure if I'll try it again or look at another option. ... show more
