Talk about an upgrade! We bought this to replace the light outside the front door of our new house, and we couldn’t be happier with it! The light is bright, but not too bright; it never flickers either. No more worrying if we left the light on either as it automatically goes off as the sun comes up. The neighbor came by to introduce themselves while putting it up which was super easy to do, and asked where we got the light fixture saying they loved how it looked and thought it increased our homes curb appeal. When we bought our first house, nothing and I mean nothing had been updated since it was originally built in 1988. The light fixtures on the outside of the house were ugly bronze antique looking light fixtures that were horribly weathered. I'm a big fan of modern looking things, while my fiance likes things that are a little bit more traditional. So I wanted to make sure I found lights that were somewhere in between, with a modern look that also wasn't overly modern. I bought these lights and I'm so glad I did! They look so great on the house, they're not that bright, but certainly bright enough. The color of the light is self is warmer than the cool white LED bulbs we put in the old fixtures. But what really makes these lights look great, in addition to their modern look, is the shape of the light they put out onto the house. It really makes a big difference in updating the curb appeal of our home. The only real issue, which was minor, was the fact that the mounting plate did not match up real well with a standard 2 1/2" - 3" in junction box. In fact, there was really no way to get two screws through the mounting plate and into the junction box. I was able to get around it by just sinking a screw into the siding somewhere else on the plate which did the trick just fine. The light fixtures themselves are very lightweight and so the junction box doesn't really need to support the weight of the fixtures too much. Other than that, I really love these lights and I had all four mounted on the house within 30 minutes. Overall a great purchase, I definitely recommend! ... show more

Purchased three of these for porch and garage areas. Our old lights kept getting spiders and bugs inside (yucky hassle to keep cleaning). These new fixtures completely solved that problem since they are closed units! It is so nice to be able to just sweep off the outside if a spider does make a web around them.
