Ignore the mess. We emptied our sheds and have been doing major lawn/garden work. I purchased these because we take our trash out the night before the garbage trucks come to pick it up. We have in the past used flashlights which are extremely inconvenient especially if there is lawn maintenance trash and you loose a hand to the flashlight when you sometimes need both. Having these lights has made a huge difference. All of them work well except 1 has 1 out of the 100 LED's Not working. To me that is a non issue. Only one bad LED out of 600 is surprising and obviously does not affect the brightness on a perceivable level and I probably wouldn't notice it but I was the one to install them and select the operating mode. I am happy with these lights and since they are mounted on a pvc fence I used outdoor guerrilla double sided tape which I know will last at least two years in a saltwater environment so it should be fine for a lot longer at my house. The motion sensor is not extremely sensitive and a human being or large animal is needed to activate the lights. Squirrels, possums, raccoons, and other small animals would unlikely activate the lights unless they were to knock a trash can over. Altogether I am very happy with the level of brightness, the motion activation, the ability to select a 0 mode which deactivates the light completely, and the quick shut off once the area has been vacated. I highly suggest purchasing these for security cameras, areas of frequent access at night, or just as ambient lighting with the always on low power mode.

FINAL EDIT: 2 years, and they are all dead except the flash light. That's... Not bad. EDIT: It's now nearly 2 years. I've got 3 that are still mostly working. Of those, 2 were actually outside, and one is used as a rechargeable flashlight. That last one, which I have been very cautious about has not built up this corroded film that the others have from being outside, and has remained brighter than my phone light. (Considering the device's size compared to my phone, and being mostly made of lights, I'd be upset if it wasn't.) But let's be honest here, it's 30 bucks or so for 6 LED devices. It's not some 20 thousand dollar solar installation. You get what you pay for. And perhaps a little more. Especially when customer support refunds the purchase so that you give them a good rating. EDIT 3: Well, it's now been over a year, and despite them losing the majority of their initial power and brightness have substantially reduced in those first few months, it has stayed relatively stable, and haven't died yet. So I'm raising the star rating. EDIT 2: Alright. Somewhere around 2 months later, and 1 of them that I installed is just dead. The ones on the poles are probably about to die. And the two I used as flashlights ... are alright. Definitely not as bright as they used to be, but thanks to the relatively limited use, haven't degraded near as much. This is impressively bad. Solar panels and LEDs are famed for their longevity. The construction had to be especially shite to get such a failure rate. EDIT: OK, I installed them and was very satisfied with them (thus my early 5 star review). A little less than a month later, and 1 just randomly refuses to turn on, no matter the lighting mode (and then randomly decided to turn on later). And the two that were positioned on a pole in direct sunlight all day... have basically burned out, and only last a few hours before their light is basically useless. Even on the setting with the minimum constant light. And the two I was using for flash lights? Yeah. No. Just get a solar phone charger and recharable flash light. These are hyper fragile, and even a bad tap from setting them down can short the circuits. And even when they aren't completely nonfunctional, they just flicker constantly. It is obnoxious. --- I'm still waiting on the drill to come in, because there was no indication on the page as to how it's supposed to be installed. But I did manage to just leave one in the sun for a couple hours, and then brought it in on the always on, semi-bright mode. It lasted through the night, and I didn't need to turn on any lights in the house. Granted, there were about 6 left until sunrise, but it lasted long enough on a partial charge that it seemed like it would do its job. As a solar flashlight, or constant ambient light at night, the semi-bright mode is the best. For lighting up the area immediately around your home, the dim mode with bight motion sensor seems the most useful. As for the bright mode that turns off without motion... Maybe mounting to the inside of a window with double sided tape (not included). It does feel rather guilt free to just have them running. But I do know that batteries wear down, and LEDs grow dim with use, and I do wish that the description gave at least an estimate for how long these things can last. Overall? With 6 of them (8 if the promotion for reviewing is real), it definitely seems like good value for money.

I did extensive reviews online for different styles of motion detection lights and ended up selecting these. First, they arrived much faster than I expected and was pleased to see that there was already a 'charged for the LED lights to work. I planned on using these lights for our vynal fencing of our yard, mainly to add more visibility to my dogs when letting them out after sunset. I was quickly impressed with the dim light feature that remains dimly lit until motion is detected and the full brightness of the LEDs were activated. I actually changed the settings all to dim light since it added a certain ambiance to the fence and yard. The install was a breeze since the flat design of the back of the lights made it easy for different ideas (screws, double sided tape, 3M Command Strips, etc) of mounting them. Was impressed that the company provided screws and wall anchors. The lights look great in the yard along the fence. Dim features and the brightest settings are exactly what I was looking for. Only thing I would have done differently would be to paint the casing whit to blend in with my fence better. Update 27June2021 After a few weeks of typical PA weather (Sun, Rain, Wind & Occasional downpours) these lights are holding up very well. One of my 12 units did stop working after about 7-10 days. Tried bringing the unit indoors to potentially dry out and have more stable environmental conditions to see if it would work again, with no success. I reached out to the Customer Service outlet provided when I received the lights and was treated very professionally and was immediately taken care of of sending out 2 new units out to me. Within 2-4 days I had the 2 new units the Customer Service representative said I would receive. This response was the fastest Customer service response I've ever dealt with. No additional fees or shipping costs were required. This product was a great find, but the customer service just made this product a 5 out of 5 for me.

I installed these today and they are bright it's not even dark yet! I ordered 12 of these and I might get 12 more! Im going see how they over night. So far im glad I ordered 2 packs of the 6 solar lights. Update they worked all night had them on the dimmer setting with the bright motion. All stayed on throughout the night but one. I'll be ordering more soon! Update 3 of the 12 lights stopped working. One won't turn on at all. The other 2 are supper dim. The othe 9 are still great.

These lights are not what we paid for. First of all, they only work *SOME* nights. And it has nothing to do with whether or not there was sun; sometimes they just didn’t work regardless. The light initially would shine brightly, but they would dim and turn off after only a handful of hours, my husband noted. Which is useless because what is the point of motion sensor lights that only work between 7-10pm?? If they’re solar powered, they should theoretically have HOURS of charge. When my husband mentioned the lights go off too early, I told him to maybe try the motion sensor feature? Yeah, doesn’t work at all. He waved his arms, walked back and forth, jumped up and down….nothing. If these are motion sensor, I’m a duck. Anyway. Buy it if you want to waste your money for a laugh. Otherwise? I’d advise you not to. UPDATE: This company was relatively quick to issue a full refund and said not to worry about returning the product, which was nice. However, when I said I didn’t want replacements, at first, they agreed to that. Then, I received a message *after* agreeing to be refunded asking how I was enjoying my lights and whether or not they work….I told them I was expecting a refund already (that they had issued) because no, the lights don’t work. Then they wouldn’t *stop* messaging me. They offered not once, but twice—to replace the lights. I said “No” the first time, “No” the second, and when they continued messaging me—after I’d asked them to stop—I finally told them it was borderline harassment, and they would be reported if they continued. So. Take that as you will.

3 years update: these lights lasted 3 years, great for the price. Likely would’ve been longer if i had properly installed them. They were moved around a lot, set in puddles, generally not well cared for. Looked for more but they were unavailable every time. So glad to find them available again! He ones i still had lasted three years, great light & hold a charge all night. After about one & a half years, two went MIA after having some home improvement work done, they weren’t fastened down. Original review - Of the large selection of this type of light to choose from, I couldn't have done any better than these & in fact plan to buy more. They only need a little daylight to hit them, even through a window on a cloudy day (for enough hours) to recharge. The light does tend to be brighter according to how much sunshine we enjoyed the day before. I have one on a low end-table in a breezeway, placed backwards so the solar panels can collect the little light that it accesses during the day. It reliably lights up every night even though some nights are slightly dimmer it's reliably enough to use my house key! I bought Gorilla tape to attach them outside my house so no need for drilling. The 3 settings are perfect for safety & utility, bright but not blinding. Motion detector functions as i wanted it to. Happy with my choice & will buy more of these handy lights!

The lights arrived on time. We tested the light in a closet to make sure they worked. They all did except for one. We figured that it needed to be solar charged by the sun in order to work. We installed all the lights at the same time. We checked the light that did not work initially every day and it still wouldn't work. It never charged. We tried it on another side of our house that also received good sun and it still didn't turn on. I contacted the seller and explained the problem to them. They asked if I had tried on a different location with more light and I told them I did. We tried what we could on our end before deciding that it was probably a defect when it was manufactured. The seller was friendly and help us troubleshoot. Since nothing worked they sent a replacement for that light. When we received the light we tested it in the closet and it worked instantly. So far we have not had any other issues. If you encounter an issue with the product please reach out to the seller. They will try to help you. We love the motion detection but wish the range was even longer. It has a good range overall. This is only a personal preference. We did notice that one light required for you to be a bit closer than the others to detect you but it really isn't a big issue. We would also have liked for them to be brighter since we plan on leaving them on at night when we are in the backyard. The motion detection setting is a little brighter than the setting to leave it on continuously. It just would be nice for them to be even brighter. You have to be somewhat close to them to see in the dark. Overall they are good lights for the price.
