Unboxed this item to find a unit that was clearly either used or poorly refurbished. Went through the trouble of wiring a plug onto it, only to find that the unit is defective. When turned on, it makes a loud buzzing noise and then shows error "E1". This happens continuously at any power level, and I tried several different pots and pans that work on my other induction stove. Really frustrating that I paid six hundred bucks for a used item (the listing did not say Used or Refurbished) and now I need to go through the hassle of sending it back and waiting two weeks for Amazon to refund me. ... show more

The first thing I noticed was how light it was. On a product like this a little more weight would be comforting as it is supposed to be a stoutly made product. Second thing I noticed was a tumbling around inside the unit. It must have been tossed around during shipping because it was definitely broken. I removed about 16 access screws to see what was tumbling around inside before making a decision to return the item. The coil burner is surrounded in plastic and it was all cracked up and broken. I'm sure the material around the coil has to be insulated but maybe ceramic would have been a better choice. Anyway I decided to send the unit back and take refund over replacement due to a less than attractive visual effect. ... show more

Induction ready cookware is very effective. Even the cheap stuff heats quickly and evenly.I use them frequently with induction pot to make mongolian hotpot and cast iron pan for grilling steak. Fans are a little loud but not a big deal. Easy to control heat and high heat is useful when you want to get the water to reach boiling temperature quickly. ... show more
