I got to try it out in a major snow storm and it seemed to throw snow like a champ. Now I was doing removal of snow at 3 to 4 inch levels, but it felt like it could do a little bit more. It was a medium sized driveway. The battery lasted around a half hour to 40 minutes, but it was not constant usage. The device can get heavy after a while so this might not be good for an elderly person looking to save strain. If you have minimal coverage to do it might be fine in that regard. Seems to be a learning curve on how it throws. I liked to approach it from the side. Seemed like a neater result than going up and down. Battery cover is tricky to remove and might not be a good choice for someone without a strong grip. Overall the device cuts shoveling time down by a few minutes. You will still have to exert effort and might be tired after doing it. I've had gasoline powered snow blowers and corded snow throwers, and this can throw snow as far or farther than those...just not the volume. But I like the idea of the battery. No engine problems. No cord issues or blown fuses. You can keep it in the house with ease.

When I first purchased this product I was very impressed it removed snow easily without the lifting and twisting needed with a traditional shovel. The battery life is good and I’ve used it to remove up to 4”-5” of heaven a light snow without issue. After using it about 6-7 times the motor started to squeal on occasion, I’d stop and restart and it would go away for a little while. At the price point I got it I didn’t figure it would hold up long term but thought I’d get through more than a month. Great concept just pay a little more and get better quality. 12/25/2024 I’ve used the original unit heavily for 2 years and been so impressed I bought a second one for my decks. This thing is great easy to assemble and use, save time and your back. Although you could don’t plan on using this for large driveways there are better tools but porches, stairs, decks or patios are just the right application. Buy an extra battery if you get big snows so you are always prepared.

My snowblower is large and a pain to start, but still need it for the heavier snow days. This is great for the light snow fall and quick way to clear the driveway for for school or work, this isn't very wide, but can still do the job quickly. For the heavy wet snow this is more of a pusher and less of a thrower.

iIf you're looking at this to save your shoulder and back keep looking. I honestly don't think shy of these units are going to be easier and lighter than just a nigh nice lightweight ergonomic shovel. It's a lot harder than shoveling. I went out a used my regular shovel for half my deck and the Lithelli electric shovel for half. Weighs about ten times as much as the shovel and hurts my shoulder just pulling it back every time for the next pass. Also didn't throw any snow. All it did was just cut a narrow path and shovel the snow the same as a regular shovel. Also, once you get to the end and it's pushed a big pile, you can't pick up the pile and move it with this.
