This set of griddle accessories is not just a “starter” set — it’s probably all the tools you will ever need for griddle cooking. As others have pointed out, also, the quality of the spatulas and scrapers is surprisingly good. The metal is stainless steel and thicker than I thought it would be, especially at this price point. Of course, the handles of the tools are molded plastic rather than wood with tines, but they are comfortable in the hand. The two squirt bottles are small, holding only about 8 ounces, but that’s not a big deal. The hamburger press is probably something I will never use, but some people might want to use it to form consistent size and shape burgers. Likewise, the plastic cleaning tool seems like something that wouldn’t be very effective. The carry case is a nice touch and is something I will use, and the small salt and pepper shakers with caps might also come in handy. Also included are the cast iron burger smasher (good size and weight) and the basting cover — both useful griddling tools. Finally, you have tongs, silicone basting brush, 2 egg rings (don’t know if I’ll ever use those), and 8 steel S hooks. I’ve been using this set for about a year and it’s a great value for everything you get. The tools feel heavy duty and have held up well—even after going through the dishwasher regularly. The carrying case is a nice bonus and keeps everything organized. I unboxed this 27-piece griddle kit at 4:00 PM on a Saturday. By 4:01, a single tear rolled down my cheek, my apron tied itself, and a gentle breeze carried the scent of seared onions across three counties. By 4:05, a man in a tank top and a propane-stained cap pulled into my driveway, looked at my griddle, looked at me, and quietly said, "I sell propane and propane accessories. But I've never seen accessories like THESE." He shook my hand and drove off. His hands smelled like clean-burning fuel and respect. Let's talk about the enlarged spatula. It's not a spatula. It's Excalibur. It's a flat-top-forged sword of destiny. I pulled it out of the box and thunder rumbled in the distance. I flipped one burger and it did a triple backflip, landed perfectly on the bun, and received a 10 from the Russian judge. My neighbor saw it from over the fence, dropped his store-brand tongs into his birdbath, and hasn't grilled since. He just sits in a lawn chair now, watching me, taking notes. The burger press is a technological marvel. I pressed one patty and it came out so perfectly round that NASA called asking if they could use it as a reference for planetary orbits. By the third patty, a tiny rat in a chef's hat appeared on my shoulder, pulled my hair to guide my hands, and whispered, "Anyone can cook, but YOU can griddle." We're business partners now. He handles the seasoning. I handle the fan mail. And the basting cover? Cheese melts under this dome in 1.2 seconds. I put a dome over a single slice of American cheese and when I lifted it, the cheese had achieved enlightenment. A yellow sea sponge in square pants showed up in my backyard, demanding to know the secret formula. I told him it's the cover. He went home and quit his job at the fast food joint. His boss, a very tight-fisted crab, is suing me. With 27 pieces, I've barely scratched the surface. There are squeeze bottles. There are scrapers. There are egg rings. There's a carrying case with the aura of a nuclear briefcase. I did the hibachi onion volcano thing on day two, and the onion volcano erupted so majestically that the local news showed up. A mustachioed man who hates vegetables, government, and small talk wandered over, ate a perfectly seared steak off my griddle in total silence, gave me one nod, and walked back into the woods. That's the highest compliment known to man. Side effects may include: Spontaneously clanging your spatulas together every time someone walks into the room Flipping shrimp into strangers' mouths from twelve feet away with 100% accuracy Your backyard smoke forming shapes of famous cheeseburgers in the sky A deep-seated need to yell "YES, CHEF" at your own reflection Neighbors building bleachers along your fence line on weekends One minor complaint: there's a Swedish-sounding Muppet in a tall chef's hat living in my shed now. He showed up after the smash burgers. I don't understand a word he says, he throws utensils over his shoulder constantly, and he keeps trying to flip a chicken that isn't cooked yet. But he respects the kit. And honestly, so do I. Would I recommend it? Only if you're ready to become a local legend, a backyard hibachi deity, and the only person your family trusts with Labor Day.
