This yarn is worsted weight 4 but feels slightly lighter. Not as light as a 3 but somewhere in between. There is a bit of "fuzz" that can get tangled if you need to frog your project. Otherwise easy to work with. The thread stays wound nicely. Instead of being dyed different colors, twisted threads are actually different colors so the blending is beautiful in your finished project. I used this to make cat ear beanies (basic rectangle using a hdc stich) and was able to make 3 with one cake plus left over. Super soft and cozy warm. Since this is acrylic it is also machine washable in cold water and can be dried on low or delicate. No fabric softness softener or the fibers get a film that looks dingy. Air drying tends to make acrylics stiff but it's an option. Overall I'm very pleased with this yarn and the color selection. Already bought 2 more colors and plan to get more. Lion Brand yarns are my favorite (especially the Jeans)

I made a simple top with this yarn and the colors are really nice. They progress between shades very nicely and I did not find it hard to match when starting a new ball of the yarn. It was a simple pattern so did not need to unknit. Yarn is very soft and easy to knit with. Did not encounter any knots in the yarn.

I am crocheting scarves for donation to homeless and needy people. I have found the Ferris Wheel line to be a good yarn in a slightly thinner thread that makes soft scarves. I usually start with a chain of 27 and do double crochet across. The width winds up about 7 inches. This time I am doing a V-stitch. I had never used Buttercup before but liked the images online. In person, it is gorgeous! My picture doesn't do it justice. The colors are developing into what I can only describe as a wonderful feeling of sunset in blues, purples, golds, and rust. Some have complained about the variations in thickness of the Ferris Wheel but I believe this yarn is a type of roving and accept it as it is. It all works out in the end and makes a lovely item. I plan to buy more

Let me start by saying this yarn is gorgeous. I got the evergreen colorway and the gradient is fabulous. The yarn itself is soft and nice to work with. It doesn't split. It's a bit fuzzy but if you don't mind it then it's not an issue. However, this yarn does NOT frog. Good luck frogging this yarn without it getting caught on itself and completely stuck. I had to frog a large portion of my project when I noticed a mistake and it would not go. I had to cut it off with scissors and re-attach the yarn to continue working. Another thing, good luck sewing with this yarn because it likes to come apart, and once it does that, it pulls apart like nothing. Overall, I do not think I would buy this yarn again. If you are a perfect crocheter/knitter and never need to frog, it's great! If you want to try this just for the lovely colors, go for it, but be warned.
