I live at 7200 feet in Utah. We get a ton of snow where I live. This thing destroys snow. I love using it to clear large swaths in my driveway and my large deck out back. So much that I am buying another. This is pretty heavy but not too much for a determined 5’2” on a tall day woman like me. I get a running start and pile it up! Then I use my super scoop to take the big pile across the street. It is plastic and durable. I love it for my trex deck. It is great on the drive. The only place I find difficult is my side drive that is gravel. This thing does the work for you. It gets down to the bottom and creates a large clear path. After the super scoop, I use the little shovel to clean up the edges and such. Greatest purchase ever! I bought it for the plastic edge for my deck. But this thing is so durable I’m buying one for my front drive. And trust me it is not perfect concrete. This thing can take a beating, trust me. Seems I received an upgraded version, can't seem to find it illistrated. More plastic at wear area, longer life before getting into honeycomb structure. Has indents at 5" centers, 2 rows. I used it on a Jan. 18, 2025 snowfall, did driveways in 1/3 the time it usually takes. Did not find it any harder to use than a standard snow shovel. I added the wear strip, after 1st use, it did show normal signs of wear, my concrete is old and rough. I added skid shields on the back where the plastic will rub the concrete when you lower the handle to raise the plow edge to get over cracks or uneven surfaces. The wear strip I used is 1x1/8"x48" cut to length alumium flat bar from homedepot, I did not have any scrap laying around. Steel may have been better, but, price for steel and length a no go at homedepot. I found it does what its designed to do. The handle is beefy at 1 1/8" O.D.. It did not twist or warp flinging snow sideways off the plow face. I added a small steel tube to make it easier to carry back to starting point, instead of dragging it. Driveway Size: 58ft x 18x Driveway condition: Cracked & Uneven, gravel for the last 10 feet or so. I bought this last year near end of the snow season so only had a chance to use it one time. This winter I've used probably about 6 times to clear off 2-6in of snow each time and it's been great. A few weeks ago we had a decent amount of lake effect snow overnight, I heard my neighbor out with their two stage snow thrower cleaning off their driveway. By the time I got my winter clothes and shoes on they had a 10 minute head start on me. I cleared my entire driveway off and was back inside before they were finished doing theirs. I love that this snow shovel has the double handles, it's much easier to put my weight into moving bigger clumps of snow and really pushing it way off the side of the drive way. Also since my driveway is terrible I catch on cracks all over the place, but the double handles makes it easy to just walk the blade over the crack by wiggling back and forth left to right. I found alternative uses also this season, I've been able to plow out patches of snow to give the dog a clear area to go to the bathroom. ... show more
