Description
Basketball Compatibility First: Is the system made by Lifetime? Second: Is the pole round? Third: Is the pole diameter 3.5-inches? Fourth: Is there a Y-Shaped bracket where the mounting arms mount to the pole? If you can answer yes to all of these, than any Lifetime backboard and rim combo we sell will work with your hoop. If you answer no to any of these, than the backboards we sell will definitely not work with your system, and you will need to contact the manufacturer to get the backboard you need.

Not a Rocket Scientist? Skip this product.
Style: 52" Slam-It Combo
You have got to be a rocket scientist to put this together with the mounting brackets. I have assembled tons of items, and this is the most difficult by far. I recommend buying it at a local sporting goods store and having them assemble it for you. When I messaged Lifetime their recommendation was to hire a local handyman.

Lots of enjoyment from this
Style: 52" Slam-It Combo
My son and I have spent hours of playing ball since we got this installed. Its a great rim and backboard and I would definitely recommend it

Nice backboard but you WILL need the mounting kit.
Style: 52" Slam-It Combo
Being that I wasn't looking to mount the backboard in the traditional way I thought I didn't need to buy the mounting kit. (You can buy it separately or both in a packaged deal.). I did not realize that the mounting kit is necessary to attach the rim until after I bought the backboard. I spoke to a Lifetime rep who explained that you only don't need to buy the mounting kit if you already have one - as in you are only replacing the backboard.

Make Sure You Have Plenty Of Help To Attach To Conversion Kit
Style: 52" Slam-It Combo
When mounting the backboard attached to the Lifetime Conversion Kit make sure you have adequate help, and it is not windy. Also have several stepladders ready to support the backboard while attaching it to the pole or roof and to gain access to the height needed to properly place and tighten all the hardware. Otherwise it looks like a good sturdy product. I mounted it to the pole using the Lifetime conversion kit so I can adjust to the proper height needed for my age 4 to 10 grandchildren. At 7'6" height even my youngest grandchild can muscle the ball into the rim.

Returned and went w/ Spalding model instead -- very happy w/ that
Style: 52" Slam-It Combo
Very flimsy. Doesn't work w/ U-turn lift system. Ball won't rebound well on this. Returned and went w/ Spalding model instead -- very happy w/ that.

Not standard backboard to install on to a Lifetime basketball hoop
Style: 52" Slam-It Combo
Is not a standard replacement backboard. The package was clearly used and duct taped.

This Lifetime backboard worked great, easily replaced the old one
Style: 52" Slam-It Combo
I waited 6 months after i installed this to rate the backboard. I wanted to see how it would hold up in the weather. I replace an existing back board that was beginning to fall apart. This Lifetime backboard worked great, easily replaced the old one, has held up over the winter and looks great. Painted the old pole and the whole thing looks new.
