3-star review is for defective remote. The DVD Blue Ray Player otherwise works well. The remote I received is LG Model AKB73896401 (has one battery / model # is on front of remote). It was defective. As reported by others, the remote is very slow to respond or does not respond. As this issue is not reported by all reviewers, it is not clear whether this is true of all remotes with this model number. The DVD/Blue Ray Player only has off/on and open/close buttons, so the remote is essential. I requested a return, which Amazon approved. But then I reconsidered because the BP350 is good DVD player, and if I purchased another BP350, I might again receive the same model defective remote. I chose to seek a replacement remote and cancelled the return. I purchased from Amazon an aftermarket - "New AKB73896401 Replacement Remote Control..." by Retrosun for $7.99. It is virtually identical to the LG remote, but uses two batteries (not included) instead of one. It works perfectly - remote response is immediate. Not pleased about paying for a replacement remote, but I now have a DVD player that I like with a working remote. ... show more

    • A Good Little Player - White Screens are a Nuisance

The only thing I don't like about the player is the the White Screen when it shuts down or swapping a disc. Very bright and when you have been in a dark room for a while, it hurts the eyes. Otherwise, these players work fine. Fast disc load times are a plus.

It’s a nice compact player. Came with a remote as well which I didn’t see advertised. So a bonus there. Smaller profile that allows me to play my discs. Previously was using a game console for Blu-ray‘s, and this cleaned up the space nicely. Unless I missed it, not a lot of app features.
