    • Very good printer for small business
I purchased the printer as an upgrade from a smaller HP. It is much faster and easier to use. It is very intuitive to use the touch screen for various copier functions and scanning, including scanning to One Drive or other cloud-based databases. Unfortunately, the instructions to set up the printer and begin use of the printer are nonexistent. Perhaps it's easier to install with the CD but I lack a CD drive. After some trial and error I was able to find the correct drivers and was able to determine I could scan entirely from the touch screen controls. It's actually quite simple, but better instructions could have saved a few hours of 'groping in the dark' to get drivers and determine how to scan. It's easier to use than the HP and Canon products it is replacing in my office. ... show more

    • The best printer I have EVER owned
I was so fed up with buying cheap inkjet after inkjet printer, either having to buy ink that was more expensive than the printer itself every 3 months, or just getting tired of endless printing problems that took hours to solve. I decided to spend some serious cash and get a printer that I could actually rely on. This printer... just works. After about a year of owning it, I have NEVER had a problem with connection or any functionality. Much more than I can say about basically every other printer I've owned. I hear people say that it's difficult to set up, but I just put in my router info and set it to DHCP. I didn't even hardcode an IP address. It's worked flawlessly. Print quality is fine. You're never going to get the vibrant colors on a laser printer that you would out of an inkjet, but if I want to print something I'm going to hang on the wall, I'm going to go to a print shop anyway. If you print color often, this printer may not meet your needs, but if you're printing 90% black and white (like I do), it's excellent. ... show more

    • I'd buy it again, and recommend it for my parents, too.
The UI and the touch screen are a little lacking... I saw lots of reviews talking about difficulty setting it up. I *highly* recommend using a LAN connection. It avoids the messy nonsense of trying to type in your WiFi password. It also completely avoids having a weak connection, or changing it ever. Set it up near your router, plug it in with a network cable and you won't regret it. 600 dpi print quality is amazing, and the color match is great. I am happily replacing that old, clogged-head-having, basically-just-a-paperweight-after-i-print-the-first-batch inkjet printer I had to replace every time I needed to print something.     • Best printer I've ever owned
I bought this in March 2021 after finally giving up on my previous inkjet printer that I bought on sale for college. We have Lexmark at work and I always liked those, so I figured their smaller units were probably just as good. I've never been so in love with a product that I felt compelled to write a review until now. This printer checks all of the boxes: excellent print quality, scan to email, scan to samba / CIFS share, fax, copy, SNMP monitoring... This thing even has a built in VNC server to provide remote user support if necessary, though it probably won't be given how easy the thing is to operate. Every setting you could possibly want is available to you through the web admin portal, including the ability to use your own SMTP server for scan to email! This is truly a printer that you own - if Lexmark ever chose to drop support for it, it wouldn't cease to function like so many devices people buy today. Speaking of support, I had to call Lexmark support yesterday because I managed to forget the admin password and was therefore unable to configure faxing. After about 5 minutes on the phone, I had reset the password and was on my way again. Probably the best phone support I've ever received. Other than the password issue, this printer hasn't given me a single problem (And admittedly the password thing is 100% my problem). 10/10 for the unit itself, and 10/10 for Lexmark customer support. As long as Lexmark keeps making printers like this, I'll never buy a different brand again. ... show more

    • Didn't work out of the box
The printer arrived in good condition and was packed really well. However, after I unpacked it and powered it up, the printer would spin up, display the home screen briefly and then display an error. The error (Code:110.91A) stated that the door for the toner cartridges was open and that I should check and then unplug and re-plug the printer. I checked it was closed securely. Pulled out the cartridge tray to make sure all of the toner cartridges were securely fastened. Re-checked that all packing tape was removed and there was nothing blocking the doors and cartridges. Unplugged and re-plugged as instructed, same error. Did it 5 times and finally called Lexmark support (as also instructed on the printer home screen). After 30 minutes with support, we didn't really get anywhere and when the support person said that they will send a technical specialist to look at and repair the printer, I decided that the printer was dead-on-arrival. Printer looks great, didn't get to see it print - so can't comment on its print quality, LCD touch screen to configure was a bit too small for me since I had to slowly go through the setup screens in the beginning (to make sure I was hitting the on-screen buttons correctly).     • Worked great on my mac right out of the box
Just received this printer today. When I got home from work, I unboxed it, did the initial setup per the pictorials and turned it on. I skipped using any phone apps for setup; just used the color touchscreen menu. Date/time, language ... and selected my home wifi network. It prompted me for my password. Then I downloaded the printer driver from the Lexmark site (the site recognized that I was on a mac and offered the correct driver) and launched the installer. Moments later I printed a document and it came out perfectly. Ok, I crossed my fingers and tried the scanner. Turns out that the scanner software was part of the package I downloaded for the mac. I just clicked on the scanner icon, selected the resolution and the document feeder instead of the flatbed option and put a sample sheet in the feeder. When I clicked on the scan icon on the mac, the scanner immediately fed the document and a moment later I had the image in my Pictures folder. Love it! ... show more

    • Quick Set-up; Excellent Print Quality
I researched 12 printers in this price range PC Mag and decided on the Lexmark MC3426adw and couldn't be happier. This replaced an HP 6500A MFP inkjet that we had to use more ink clearing the heads then we used for printing. The directions in the box are clear and concise and we had it up and running in about 15 minutes. The only thing I had to do was realign it because they were a bit off when I printed the test page. Once calibrated, the printing was clear, crisp and vibrant. For a laser printer, the color prints are remarkably smooth, with out noticeable banding common with laser printers. I we hardwired our internet connections in the house with Ethernet and connected it to the AirPort Extreme upstairs; all computers picked it up instantly. We live in a 3-level townhouse, with the printer on the top floor and the primary modem in the lower floor and my wife can print from downstairs off her iPhone and it starts printing in less than 10 seconds. My only regret is that I didn't switch from inkjet to laser sooner. The price I paid made the decision to jump to laser a no-brainer. Buy one, you won't be sorry. ... show more

    • Great printer, difficult to set up
Short review here. Once the printer is set up, it’s great. Good quality and fast. The problem is the setup instructions are horrible, and the setup isn’t nearly as intuitive as other brands. I bought this because of the quality of the printer, and it was 50% off, fantastic for a recently designed printer. Take my advice, as soon as you take it out of the box, call Lexmark and let them set it up. It took the tech a good amount of time installing new drivers and doing things the average consumer has no clue about. ... show more
