Good level 2 EV Charger for a lot of applications Review for: Level 2 Electric Vehicle Charger 26ft EV Portable Charging Cable with NEMA 14-50/5-15 Plug 7.68Kw 32A Current Adjustable EV & Plug-in Hybrid Car Charger for SAE_J1772 I like this level 2 EV charger can max output of 7.6 kilowatts if using the right outlet to output greater than 32 amps at 240. This charger should work for most EV’s for overnight charging at home. The charger comes setup with a J1772 connector for the vehicle and the wall plug is NEMA 14-50 plug. You can get a adapter for both ends to suit your setup. The display is a nice feature, showing the charge time, current amps being sent to the vehicle, and total kilowatts added. Tesla displays this data as well. I tested this on a 2023 Tesla model Y, and used the J1772 adapter to the NACS and I have a NEMA 14-50 to a dryer plug 10-30P to 14-50R. I set my amps to around 20 vs 24 as to not melt the wall plug and cause a fire. The tesla has a built-in amp setting, this charger also has a manual selection for the amount of amps to output. This charger also includes a 120 wall plug adapter, slow but this can be used but is significantly slower tested and worked as intended. What I don’t like wish this included a bag for the charger. Overall 4.5 stars taking into consideration the products description, quality, features, value and cost of 179.99, and there was a discount that further brought the price down. For what it is--and the value price point--this isn't a bad charger. It's pretty basic and as long as you have reasonable expectations for it you'll be pleased. The LCD display is simple but functional allowing you to adjust current and time. It has a 20 foot long cable and all of the protections that you expect from a quality EV charger such as leakage protection, short circuit protection, over voltage protection, etc. It's also waterproof and heat resistant. It would be nice if it came with a case but since I use it as an emergency portable charger I just keep it in the box it came in. Recommended! ... show more

This is a review of "Level 1-2 Electric Vehicle Charging Cable 3.6KW 16A EV Portable Charger 20ft Cable NEMA 6-20/5-15 Plug Current Adjustable EV & Plug-in Hybrid Car Charger for SAE_J1772". This portable charger provides a nice take-along option if you are going to be overnighting away from home and not sure about your charging situation will be. It can plug into a regular household 110 outlet, and will provide about 1 Kw/h; If you can find a 220 NEMA 6-20 plug, that will increase to about 4 Kw/h. It was able to charger my car up overnight on the 220 volt plug. I would not use it as a primary option on the road, but could be a good garage charger if have or could get the plug installed. It did not overheat or overcharge the car, even after an overnight charging session. The cable from the box to part that plugs into the car is much thinner than others I have used, but it is good enough to support the 16 Amp output. I have a PHEV vehicle that can charge in 5 hours off a level 1 charger, but with 240V power supplied to this will charge in 2 hours. This unit can accept 120V or 240V power (and comes with an adapter to allow connection to either). It has a timer that can delay charging for 5 hours (to allow you to plug it in at 6 PM or such, yet charge at 11 pm which the power companies will like much better). It can also put a limited charge current out if you want a slower charge rate (yet most want the quickest that it defaults to depending on the input power). Should work well. ... show more
