First off it is fast. My old comp was running slow with only 8 GB of ram and no way of expanding it. This comp is instantaneous! Easy setup; I was able to transfer all of my old stuff to this comp easily. So far I am very satisfied with the purchase. A wireless Bose speaker handles my sound but the factory speakers are adequate for communication. I will admit that the battery drains quickly compared to my old comp. My research says it will handle SolidWorks software. The graphics card might be taxed when running SW. I will give an update on the performance when I get the SW program loaded. ... show more

This is a great laptop at a great price. I am your average user and it is doing its job. I have been using Adobe Premiere Pro on it with multiple layers and it handles it like a champ. Is it the best screen? No. But it's better than most at this price range. Does it have great sound? No. But who really uses laptop speakers if you need quality? I was a little nervous when I bought this, but I am glad I did. If I had to choose one con, it's the keyboard. But I am sure that is an end user error and it will just take some time to get use to. I am very disappointed with this laptop. It's a faulty product with several significant issues. First, the battery is defective and will not charge beyond 70%, regardless of how long it's plugged in. Second, the product description is inaccurate; the laptop does not have a Thunderbolt 4 port as advertised. Finally, and most importantly, this laptop does not come with a valid warranty in the United States or Canada. When I contacted Acer support, they informed me that the product was manufactured for sale in India and is therefore not eligible for warranty service here. Back lo ight is very helpful, camera is very clear for zoom meeting with clear sound system. Battery life on mine is about 3-4 hours pending the activities I'm working on. My wife bought the exact same one she liked it so much.

Good computer with great display and features but a few issues: The keyboard backlight is not controlled by hardware so the software has to be added to startup routines in Windows. With Ubuntu Linux, the keyboard light turns on but once U shut the lid it won't turn on again until u reboot. Sound:it sucks! Use ear buds or headphones. Battery: not great. Lasts about 2.5 hours with medium use. Overall not bad but definitely not great. ... show more

I’m not super knowledgeable about computers so maybe take this with a grain of salt. I use this as a psych major and it’s run everything I needed pretty well, some games I’ve used on it have been Hades1&2, needy streamer, ENA bbq, and those have all ran really well too. With some minor lag in hades 2. Biggest downside? The battery life. Make sure you have that charger on you. But not bad ... show more

I had my local computer man pick me out a laptop based on the needs I had. He did a great job because this is a great laptop. I use it for work to do ads, videos, usual emails and paperwork. I like the backlit keyboard and brightness of the screen. It appears to be a really good quality, I have been using it 5-6 days a week for a month now. It's fast and not too heavy in weight.
