This charger replace my level 1 charger that came with my Chevy Volt when I purchased it. I was kind of hesitant about getting an after market charger but decided to go with this one. Glad I did. Charger works great and was a breeze to set up. There are options for amperage and level 1 or level 2 charging. Keep in mind that for level 2 charging you would need a 240 volt outlet. Most outlets are set for 120 volt which means you wouldn't be able to take advantage of the Level 2 charging capabilities if that's all you have. This charger overall is great quality with a little digital display that is easy to use.

This is a nice little charger. It comes ready to use on a regular wall outlet if you use the included adapter. You can get level 2 charging if you have a 20 Amp outlet. It does get a little warm but that's not unusual. It's short but makes for easy storage in the car when not in use. Others in this price range don't include the display. The display is nice to know how many Amp hours you've loaded in the car. It's also nice to see the temperature display. It's in °C but there may be a way to change it. I've not read the instructions because that's crazy talk! I charged up a 50% down car and checked it in the morning. The charger topped the car off and then stopped charging. It showed on the display the duration of the charging and the total Ah charged. Very nice. There's a timer you can program but likely would need to read the instructions for that and there's no way I'm reading stuff. Ew...

Waited a while to review. We currently are installing a 220v that will work for EV chargers as the one for our dryer is different. So for now we are utilizing the slower charging function. We drive roughly 20ish miles a day (work commute) in this particular car and even though we are doing the slow charge it's gaining mileage every day. Great quality and price since the dealership wants to charge like 3 grand for a replacement. We have a 2022 Nissan Leaf and it's compatible! It was easy to use and not difficult to understand either. Very happy with it.

The unit was not difficult to set up. Directions were clear. The application works simpler with iPhone versus android for set up. I had the option to sort the ideal amps out from the unit. The 16.5 ft rope was required since it was sufficient to reach. The accusing string happen to a 240V fitting with a 120v connector rope that works with a 120V outlet.

Dependable charger and the construction is very durable but you have to pay attention to the housing. Heat protection and very easy to install. Easy to set up and has a carry bag that makes it easy to put away until the next charge. Great for the price.
