This is a beautiful product that has all the functions I need in a small package, but sadly the Ethernet function doesn't work. Even sadder, I didn't discover this until the return date and the Amazon support date had passed. I have contacted Lention for support and will update this review when they respond. I wanted to love this and look forward to a resolution as it is still under warranty. The power plug and the usb plugs work, and I haven't tied the card reader or the HDMI plug yet. Also, as others have noted, it does get quite warm but not unreasonably hot and I don't plan on using it on a pile of dry wood shavings :-)) UPDATE Jan 18: I contacted Lention and they replied and sent a replacement SUPER fast. The Ethernet connection on the new one works and that is my primary purpose for buying it. Their customer service is outstanding and I would definitely buy from them again. ... show more

These should come standard with every MacBook. The USB-C does not play well with just about anything. But with this little device and a 36-pin /USB converter cable I can power my old printer and hopefully just about anything else.

While this does work, every time I plug it in, I get a notification that this may not work with my computer - then when my computer goes to sleep, I have to unplug and re-plug it in for my computer to recognize it again.

This adapter is the most helpful thing I could have plus it's cute and sleek. I love having it with my macbook because the macbook doesn't have usb plugs and it also allows me to connect to my mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
