I don't think this is necessarily an ergonomic chair, but it does allow for cross legged sitting which I like. The padding isn't that comfortable, but it's the same width as a standard sized pillow, so I normally have an extra pillow I have on top. I work from home and definitely get tired of sitting in this chair for too long. It's cute and lets me sit cross legged but that's about it. It was fairly easy to put together but it did take some muscle work to hold the chair together - so it might've been easier with two people but I managed solo just fine. I find the adjustments also difficult. It's a little annoying to have to reach the wheel at the base of the chair which isn't that big of a deal because of how wide the seat is - but no matter how tight I try to adjust the tension, it feels like the seat still rocks back pretty easily. The lighter side of the tension wheel definitely feels like very tiny lean back will send the chair at a full tilt, but the other end of the spectrum doesn't really prevent tilting as much as I would like. I also wish it had casters - it's kinda annoying to have to drag away from the desk as it's a little bottom heavy. ... show more

I work from home and let me tell you…this chair is amazing. I like to move around all the time in my chair and this one gives me so many possibilities on how I can sit. Best part is my dalmatian will hop up and sit here with me while I’m working - if that doesn’t convince you it’s roomy, idk what will. It does squeak a bit after 6 months of use but that doesn’t bother me. I will say though my posture kind of sucks in this chair and will definitely need something with more support in the future but it’s really great for now. ... show more

I like the comfort and size. I was able to put it together by myself and I am a young woman. I recommend lining up the seat and backing then screwing in the top screws first then you can get the bottom ones. If you're clumsy or have animals this is the cream colored chair for you. I've had this chair for almost a year now, and my cat climbs it every day. It's apart of her morning routine to claw the back of this chair before her morning stretch, and you would never know. It should be shredded, but there isn't a thread out of place. This chair also survived having an entire venti iced coffee spilled on it. I sprayed it with a stain remover and it was like the coffee was never there. Are there more ergonomic friendly chairs, maybe. But if your focus is to sit cross-legged your probably not an ergonomic girlie. ... show more

Backstory: I researched an office chair for those who are hyper-mobile, since that exacerbates my fibromyalgia. There’s some train of thought that a group of personalities, from those hyper-mobility (and related conditions) to neurodivergent folks sit with our feet/legs beneath us. Sitting this way is a natural compensation for the body’s imbalance between ligaments and muscles, putting pressure on joints to combat muscle fatigue and pain. I wanted a chair to accommodate that need. This one came up in my research and was affordable. Assembly: anyone with chronic pain knows to recruit help. The main struggle for me was securing the back cushion - 19 year old helped me and we figured out if you start with the screws furthest away from the back-rest to the seat, the rest magically aligns so you can secure the screws closer to the back-rest. So, if you have any muscle weakness due to conditions, grab a helper for that part. Initial use: I’ve only had it for a short while, so I’ll hopefully remember to update if changes occur. I love that I can sit with my legs criss-cross, knee to my chin, change positions as much as my body needs, and basically every which way with much less pain for a longer period of time. I was very pleased that I didn’t need my heating pad after sitting for my remote work the other day. I also needed fewer away from the painful chair moments, so I got more done. I may commander one of my children’s squishmellows for lumbar support and I am still adjusting to turn the chair to leave my desk since there are no wheels - but the turning radius is nice too! It does hit the L-shaped desk on the side when I turn it, but I’m short, so I move things closer and I may just need to adjust the computer’s placement so the chair isn’t fighting with the side-part of the desk. Overall, I’m just happy to experience less pain as I sit for work, and can adjust my body however. ... show more

I sit in this chair 40hrs/wk, and 8 months in, it has held up quite well. Very sturdy, nothing has become loose, spins smoothly. Very comfortable, I love to sit cross-legged in the wide seat. The fabric has kept beautifully (had to spot clean a couple of my spills for the photo lol), but most importantly, the fabric is unaffected by my cat's claws. She loves this chair and has climbed up it's sides with her claws and there are no picks. The only wear after 8 months is the middle of the seat isn't as taught as it was when first purchased, def not bad after what I consider heavy use. I use this at my vanity and it is so fantastic! It swivels well, is very comfortable, plenty wide. I agree it would be great if it it had rollers, but everything else makes up for this one little thing. Highly recommend!!!
