Style: 6 inch Pole Saw
So, like many of these cheap battery powered plastic pole saws, it has its similar flaws. All of these things share that they are mostly plastic, all of them share the issue that the weak spot is where the saw handle joins the pole. It's wobbly and flimsy and if you arent careful you could accidentally break it. However, keeping in mind that all of these cheap pole saws have that issue for the most part let me tell you why this one in particular is great. One it doesn't have a finger guard on the front of the handle. Some people may think this is bad but it isn't. That finger guard gets in the way all the time if it's there. Two this unit comes with 2 batteries instead of 1 which means you'll almost never have to stop. One of these batteries will cut for 40 minutes. I timed it. Cutting for 40 minutes straight and not stopping to move branches etc is... pretty unrealistic. Ya know normally you cut some you stop you move the debris away and then keep going you know. So with that in mind it only takes like 2 hours for one of these to charge. I promise unless you are landscaping in a company, this will always have battery as long as you are charging one while using the other. Three is it comes with two chains. That's awesome. I've used a single chain for about 5 hours of cutting now and it's still fairly sharp. Idk if these chains are hard enough to take to sharpening well yet or not but so far so good. Four the pole is actually like a foot longer than most of these things. Most of these get to about 14 ft reach. With this one fully out I can reach 15 ft. Again I measured. That's nice it has a longer reason. Five the chain tighten system unlike a lot of others seems to actually work. It has that tool free system just like others, but I tighten this thing one time every time I finish cutting for the day and it works fine until the end of my next session. For reference, that's approx 3 to 4 hours of working, probably 1.5 to 2 hours of cutting. So basically, you only need to tighten it every couple hours of running and because it's tool free and so easy, it literally takes like 10 seconds it's so easy. Six it is pretty darn strong for how small it is. I've had stronger ones and I've had weaker ones this one is probably in the top 2/3 for cutting capability of these battery saws as far as torque. It will bind if you press too hard. But if you let the chain do the work it hardly ever gets hung. All that being said, it does have a couple meh points. Like I said in the beginning, the joint where the hand saw meets the pole is absolutely the week spot. You must be careful with how much pressure you put on it. Never forget to lock the little back tab. As well, the automatic oiler doesn't work that well. It doesn't put out much oil I find it drying up if I run it for too long at a time and I need to occasionally push the bulb to get it nice and lubricated again so pay attention to that. There's some fit and finish plastics that could be a little better. I find I have to tighten screws here and there they like to work their way out because it's only plastic into plastic. A few key points of aluminum where the fastners are would probably have alleviated this issue. All in all I mean for 100 bucks this is a bang up set and if you are careful with it and treat your equipment well this should work fine for you. It's certainly a lot faster and easier to use than my gas pole saw. A lot lighter etc and great if you are out of gas or something. It's very handy to grab for quick little jobs without having to drag the real yard equipment out. Easily worth its price.

I purchased this to use for a large amount of brush and tree limbs to burn due to recent wind storms. I had dozen large tree limbs about 4 inch diameter and range in 10 to 25 feet long. Was using a hand saw and a saws-all. I received this small chain saw yesterday. The tool came inside a nice case, and after opening everything that came in case can be stored back in case which I rarely see. The only issue I have with it is even though it came with a manual, I wished the manual was a little more informative. other than that it came with 2 batteries that are 24V, 2 6"chains, 2-4"chains, 6 inch bar, 4 inch bar and a couple tools along with gloves and safety glasses. I am not sure on quality of safety glasses, I used my safety glasses designed to be used with a router. The tool came set up with the 6 inch bar and chain and did not have to adjust out of the box. The batteries only took a couple hours each to fully charge before first use. The battery charger will have a solid red light but when batteries are charged it will change to a solid green light (Not mentioned in the manual). Not sure if any type of grease should be used on the bar since this does not have a oil tank for chain (Also does not mention in the manual). I had no issues with performance when using. I used the tool for about 1 hour and did not change batteries. I am not sure the hardest of the wood I was cutting but I made a lot of cuts. Everything was cut to about 3-4 foot to fit inside a burn barrel. At one time it did smell as if the tool was getting over heated but it was only slightly warm to touch. I did notice on some very small branches that they might get lodged in the saw blade but they are easy to remove. I did do a small torture test with and made as many cuts I could using more force on tool that I would normally use and only had it shut off once but it reset very quickly. So i would diffidently recommend this to anyone for small pruning jobs, to even some medium sized jobs. The trigger and safety are very easy to operate one handed, did not get any fatigue in my hand for squeezing trigger for long period of time. Would be great to take camping, or fishing to clear small path.

Style: 6 inch Pole Saw
I got this to trim back a lot of branches that hang down when snow and ice get in them during the winter. This is a good saw, easy to put together on the extender pole and it's great that it comes with two batteries. Also - the simple mechanism to tighten the chain is great and so easy to use, and it's nice that they give you a little plastic bottle to fill with chain oil - one that fits well into the small oil reservoir. The saw is not noisy at all - no ear protection is necessary. The pole and saw together are slightly heavy - but manageable and the harness shoulder strap helps. But I was also able to hold the entire thing over my head at an angle to reach one high branch. It cuts well once you get the hang of how to position it on top of a branch. I am happy with this purchase. It is perfect for my occasional use needs.

Style: 8 inch Pole Saw
It worked wonders on palm trees on dead and live fronds. Also used it to trim oak tree limbs. We were using the 8” blade that came installed and did not use the middle section of the pole. We did extend the existing two pieces. We were amazed how well and easily it cut. It is a little heavy with the pole extended for a woman. The chain never got loose and the battery still had a full charge after trimming 2 palms and 8 oak trees. Instructions are adequate for someone not used to operating this type of equipment. Could have a little more detail especially with removing the bar and chain. It paid for itself in one day. As we’ve only had this a few days, the test of time will tell.
