I took this on a 5 day camping trip and it ran for about 5 hours a day without issue. I wasn't taxing the 1500w, but very happy it didn't have me packing up early or making a 15 degree night unbearable without my various devices being charged. I did have this running entirely under my hood with a rock keeping pressure off the inverter and it worked just fine, but I eventually got worried I was generating too much heat and I didn't have any risk of rain/snow, so I just set it on my wranglers front fender flare. The cables were plenty long enough for that. I did cut the positive cable to install an ANL fuse. I was pleased to find high quality copper wire and not some tinned garbage. I also re-lugged the battery side since my connection were the smaller 1/4" bolts. Again, just glad the cables were high enough quality to do what I needed to do. Since I plan on doing a lot more cold weather camping, I am seriously considering buying a 2nd one in case I personally cause accidental damage to it. ... show more

UPDATE APRIL 4, 2026: The below review is based mostly on the inconvenience of the ridiculous fuse arrangement. The seller has kindly offered a full refund based on this review, but since I'm keeping the device and still using it, I don't think I need my money back. I'm also suspicious of the first batch of fuses I bought from Amazon, as now I'm using a new Blue Sea fuse and it hasn't blown yet. So I've added a star back. _________________________ Original Review: This thing works fine when everything goes like it's supposed to. But when faced with the Real World, there are problems. If you've spent any time with 12 volt batteries, you know they can act up once in a while. Or someone forgets to turn off a 12v light and runs the power down just a little too far. Or while things are charging via "shore power", there's that occasional blip in the grid. This inverter likes none of these things. Not one bit. It loves to pop its fuse at the slightest trouble. Now, I don't mind swapping a fuse or resetting a breaker now and then. But WHY should I have disassemble the unit to change a fuse? How much did it save in production cost to avoid putting this fuse clip within easy access? Or maybe a better question: How many pennies did it save to avoid using a breaker/reset button? At any rate, have a look at the pictures and you'll see what I mean. 1. Undo the four corner screws at the end of the unit where the fan is. Undo the top two screws at the end where the USB plugs are. 2. Slide the top off to get access to the 25A blade fuse. 3. Use pliers to GENTLY work the fuse out, tugging a little bit on each side. I'm afraid trying to yank the whole thing out at once will rip the entire base from the circuit board by the roots. Now you're ready to reverse the process. One of these days, if I find the need, I'll install a breaker my own self and let you know how it goes. ... show more

    • Buyer beware - Over specified 300W inverter?
This 12 volt inverter is specified to have a maximum output of 300 watts through a cigarette lighter outlet connection. The description indicates that the cable is 28" with 13 awg wire. Looking at this realistically most cigarette outlets are limited to 10 amps which equates to 120 watts with some higher rated outlets specified as 15 amps which equates to 180 watts. Attempting to draw 300 watts through this inverter even if the inverter plug was properly fused for 300 watts (i.e. a 25 amp fuse or greater) typically would not achieve this as the lower rated circuit fuse for the outlet (i.e. 10 or 15 amps) would trip shutting down the circuit. Further even if 300 watts could be achieved through this inverter the wire specification of 13 awg is significantly undersized for the 25 amps that would be flowing through the circuit. Per AWG the wire specification for a 12v 25amp circuit is for a wire gauge of 8 awg. which is significantly larger than the 13 awg indicated. If the circuit and inverter were adequately fused to allow 25 amps to flow through this would result in significant overheating and a fire hazard. AWG indicates the max amps for a 12 awg 12v circuit (slightly larger than the 13 awg wire used) is 10 amps. This therefore implies a 120 watt maximum limit based on AWG specifications. ... show more

I have 3 LiPo batteries in parallel I tested this with. I ran it at the full 1500 watts for 20 minutes with a heat gun and it never wavered. I was surprised I could run it at it's max and it did really well. I replaced their cables with 2 gauge only because the rest of my cables were 2 gauge. It was quiet, cables never even got warm and the readout is really nice showing the draw. I then left it hooked up for the next 2 weeks and it didn't draw much if any standby power. All in all seems to be a good inverter. If anything changes, I will update this review. I have another brand 2000 watt inverter and it could not run the heat gun more than 5 minutes without shutting down. The cables got warm with that unit and it supposedly still had 500 watts in reserve against the 1500 watt heat gun. ... show more

Leesky backs their product with a 18 month warranty. I bought a Leesky inverter because of the great reviews and great price. It also came with an 18 month warranty. (who does that anymore?) My inverter went down and I contacted Leesky and thay got right back to me. Leesky diagnosed the problem and said I had a 18 month warranty and they sent me out a new system. Thats great customer service! I'm back up and working! ... show more

    • You need 10Gauge wire!
This thing works great! It is pure sine wave too. Highly recommend to use caution using this is a typical "cigarette lighter" socket. I had a 20 amp fuse on 14 guage wire and it melted the plastic on the fuse and blew it. I am now running it on 10 gauge wire with a 30Amp fuse. Even on 10 gauge wire the wire gets warm. This inverter should really use alligator clamps not a socket. I am happy with its performance at this price point. ... show more
