    • I’m Happy With This Charger
I have a Ford Lightning Pro. With this 16 amp Lectron charger I get about 8 miles range per hour. I’ve used it about four months and am pleased with it. I’m usually charged to 80% by the next morning and am ready to go. I have no experience with other electric vehicles but assume lighter vehicles might get more range per hour. The Ford Lightning is big and heavy. And rather nice for a work truck. It also helps that my usual destination is only a little over 50 miles away and has a 50 amp outlet. Using the Ford charger that came with the truck, I’m able to recharge back to 80% in less than 4 hours. I get about 15 miles charge per hour there. This is a rewritten this review because my first attempt was overly complicated, and I definitely don’t want to try to offer advice about electricity. I’m happy with the Lectron charger.     • It does what it is supposed to do.
I just leased my first EV, and the lvl 1 power charger was a bit anemic. It was ok until I could get a lvl 2 charger for my home. I like this because it plugs into my dryer 240 outlet (which I do not use as I have a gas dryer that needs only a basic plug). This works perfect. I plug and let it go. It shuts off automatically when my max charge setting is reached on my new vehicle. The cord is pretty thick so I do not worry about overloading the cable if I ever go out and need to use it on public chargers. I do not even know if I need to have it for public chargers; I am a newbie at this electric game. Overall, no complaints what so ever. ... show more

    • Love this charger
For about 2 months I was using the standard level 1 charger that came with my PHEV. But it takes close to 18 hours to fully charge it up even though the range is only about 30 miles. Not exactly convenient. So I looked into buying a level 2 charger from the manufacturer and it was about 3 times the cost of this one. I made sure the plug was what I needed and the cord was long enough. I have been using the plug in my laundry room which is connected to my garage to charge my car. All done in under 3 hours. So happy I made this purchase. It's not like I run my dryer everyday, so this is perfect. The nice case is a bonus so I can pack it away after each use. ... show more

    • Charges both Tesla and Ford hybrid with attachment.
We wanted a 220 charger that could quick charge both cars and this fills the bill, with the additional $50. adapter for the Tesla, which I can get on by myself. Our other Ford drip charger is so challenging to get the Tesla adapter on, that I need a strong man’s hands to slip it on. This charger adapts easily enough that an older woman with weak hands can even get the adapter on and charge the car easily. Yay!! ... show more

It does not fit my 240 outlet, so it is useless to me. I have tried contacting customer service at Lectron, but they won’t answer my email. Since I wrote this review , I was able to get a response from Lectron, and they were EXCELLENT to work with. I shipped back the device and received a refund. I wish the ad on here would have been easier to understand, so that I could have understood that the unit I bought wouldn’t work with my outlet, but all credit to Lectron for being responsive. ... show more

Lectron NEMA 14-50 Level 2 EV Charger - 240V 32 Amp with 21 ft Extension Cord & J1772 Cable - for J1772 EVs Purchased the charger in March 2023 and was very happy with quality and performance. However, 5 months later charger stopped functioning-nothing. Contacted customer service and am happy to report that Lectron corresponded immediately, and after reviewing a checklist of possible reasons, Lectron asked me to return the charger (they paid postage). I received a new charger within a week, and charger works perfectly. I'm guessing it was a fluke occurence, but Lectron customer service can be depended upon. I bought this charging cord to use at home. I had an outlet installed to charge at home. This cord is portable and can be used anywhere the appropriate outlet is available. Its a great value!. It shows you how much power was used and the time it took to complete the charge. Very cool
