The good: the bag fits big - so you don’t have to take the outer casing off of the mini-split in order to wash the system. And unless you plan on taking off the wheel for a super deep clean, you really don’t gain anything by removing the outer shell other than risking breaking plastic. At least with my two mini split types. The louvers still get removed but that’s simple. The bag is able to slide around the top and sides - that’s as far as I could get. On the first split - I cleaned two today, I was able to cinch the cord but not snug enough since the bag is big and gathers. When some water was dripping behind from the bottom (the bad 1) I tried to tighten a little more and the plastic piece exploded. (the bad 2). I ended up using two jumbo binder clips to keep the bag mostly tight. So this is the second MiniSplit bag I own. The first one has the rigid sides. That has some issues and requires the shell to be removed. This bag has issues, requires you to maintain the bottom bag edge with one hand while spraying with the other in order to keep the wall dry. And sometimes the top drips and the front of the bag is not out far enough so you need to juggle the bag again. But once you are done and need to spin up the split and let it blow itself dry, you have a nice big bag to capture the drops - that’s a plus. It’s far from perfect, but so far I haven’t found a great solution to the messy job.
