    • It is big, but high quality, feels heavy-duty.
It is big enough to over-cover our Le Creuset pans, which means its overhanging edges get a lot of heat applied from the gas burner when that heat flows up and around the pan. Nice to have the "rubber" surface that contacts the pan. VERY nice that the handle folds, as it is tough to fit in a dish drawer for washing otherwise (but still has to be laid at 45' angle, not propped upright like the plates in the tines) Works like any other splatter guard, which means only large splatter drops don't make it out of the pan.     • Better than similar products I've tried
This is the second time I've purchased this. The first one lasted a couple of years before I noticed that the black rubber was flaking off and falling into whatever I was cooking (yuck!) Anyway, I hate getting grease all over the stove when I cook, so I was hopeful this would cut down on that. It does, to a point. I think it's important that the top is a screen, otherwise you'd end up steaming your food. I find that there are still splatters, but this definitely cuts down. I used to use an all-metal version but this one has rubber along the edges which makes for a better seal against the pan. I do throw mine in the dishwasher which contributes to it falling apart. If you look at it as something that will not last forever, I think you'll be happy with it. ... show more

    • Doesn't Completely Stop Spatters But Works Better Than Others I've Owned
This is the most heavy duty and best at stopping spatters. In a perfect world, it would stop all spatters, but it doesn't quite do that. Still I use it and it's probably getting about 90% of them. I would recommend. Like all Le Creuset products, I'm sure this one will last a long time.

    • Keeps the glass top cook top clean.
The screen is great, a tight close mesh. The edge gasket fits all my cook ware well. The only thing that could be improved is the handle needs to be reworked to stay engaged when you turn the screen over to wash it.

Extremely well made and dishwasher safe. But, I worry about the seal around the rim when in the dishwasher. Also if you use powder dishwasher soap, it sticks to the seal and leaves dried soap. So I prefer to hand wash. It does a great job of keeping the splatter from bacon from coating everything near the skillet. it fits skillets and cookware up to 12.25 inches ... show more

    • Sturdy, will not warp from heat
The splatter guard is worth the cost. It has heavy duty silicon along the edge. Sits well on 10" and 12" pans. It will not warp from the heat of the pan/oven like less quality splatter guards.
