I bought this for my wife for Christmas, but she was so anxious to use it, she cooked twice with it before Christmas. Afterward she cleaned it, wrapped it nd placed it under the tree. It was a beautiful teal color. She could not just put it away in a cabinet, so she lets it sit on the stove and double up as decoration for the kitchen. The pic shown for "teal" is not accurate for this listing. It shows a dark blue dutch oven but it's definitely teal (green-blue). I like how the lid handle is thick and very comfortable to grasp.

After being disappointed by Le Creuset customer service on a canceled order (they mark down their seasonal Dutch ovens and then you get excited and think you bought something that’s in stock when it actually isn’t), I was excited to see a discounted Le Creuset dutch oven on Amazon, though not the color I wanted…but whatever. It arrived in a very beat up box and surprisingly the Dutch oven itself was in good condition. It seems like the seller purchases defective or open box Dutch ovens at a discount and then re-sells them, so just make sure to inspect it carefully. ... show more

    • Major paint scuffs
This is not a knock on Le Creuset, but rather Amazon. My pot showed up with a beaten box and I was instantly skeptical that it was a new pot. The packaging looked opened and when I pulled out the pot, there was a massive paint scuff where all the color had been scrapped off down to the metal. The scuff was about the size of an Oreo which paint pieces all inside the box. I would suggest buying one of these at a more legit cooking retailer if you're going to buy at full price ($400). ... show more

My order took over three weeks to arrive and then it came with a large, deep scratch and it’ll now be 6-9 weeks before the replacement arrives which is 4-7 weeks after Christmas and this is a gift. I’m so disappointed.

    • Questionable ???
This was sent as a wedding gift - it arrived in a box that looked like it was open and not Le Creuset. It was also damaged. I expected more for this price point. It was returned but the couple are skeptical to get a replacement because of the questionable original delivery.
