Please read this section before using your cookware for the first time. The information it contains will help you achieve the best possible cooking results. Enameled cast iron is a remarkable and robust material that performs well with modern requirements for food preparation and cooking. Whether you choose to stir-fry, slow-cook a casserole, sear a steak or bake a cake, there is a shape that is suitable. Cast iron performs well for either slow cooking or high-temperature searing. Cast iron can be used reliably on any heat source, including induction, and with any oven or grill. It has the ability to retain heat efficiently, which allows for use of lower heat settings in stovetop and oven cooking. On the table, a hot covered dish will keep food hot for second servings. Cast iron can also be used to keep foods cold. A chilled dish becomes an ideal cold food server on a hot summer day. It can also be placed in the freezer for food storage or advanced food preparation High heat temperatures should only be used for boiling water for vegetables or pasta, or for reducing the consistency of stocks or sauces. High heats should never be used to preheat a pan before lowering the heat for cooking. Cast iron retains heat so efficiently that overheating will cause food to burn or stick. The vitreous enamel surface is impermeable and therefore ideal for raw or cooked food storage, and for marinating with acidic ingredients such as wine.

  • Great Dutch Oven!!
Color: Cerise Size: 9.5 Qt
I use this for soup, roasts, etc. It cleans up super easily. It’s a bit heavy, but what would you expect from cast iron?? Sturdiness, that’s what! I absolutely love it and use it quite often. Worth every penny.

  • Lovely Meringue Color 🤍
Color: Meringue Size: 5 Qt
So far so good :) I replaced the original silver knob with a large copper one. Love it already. The booklet it came with contains important information on maintenance and usage, I wouldn’t throw this away. I know this will stay in the kitchen for years, will try to make sure not to stain it!

  • The Standard
Color: Marseille Size: 9.5 Qt
Looks great and cooks great too! The standard everyone else tries to copy. It is our go to pot for soups stews and breads. Pricey but worth it.

  • Le Creuset Dutch oven
Color: Caribbean Size: 5 Qt
Great sturdy cookware. The color is really nice and mellow. The oval shape accommodates large irregular shaped cuts of meat. Food tastes so much better cooked in a slow oven. Pricey but shop for items when they discontinue certain colors.

  • Le Creuset makes cooking a joy and cleanup even more joyous!!
Color: Oyster Size: 15.5 Qt
Being from south Louisiana (Cajun country) we love to cook for family and friends. I wanted a large pot to replace my magnalite pot. I couldn’t be more pleased. I use this to make rice dressing at Christmas and Thanksgiving. It’s also perfect for our famous gumbo!! I made a huge amount of chicken stock a few weeks ago. This pot is big!! I put two chickens in it for my stock. The heat distribution is absolutely the best. One does not need to cook at high temperature. I’ve adjusted the temperature to a lower setting especially when making a rioux. Since there have been articles about magnalite cookware giving off trace amounts of metals possibly causing Alzheimer’s, I decided to replace mine. Anyone from south Louisiana is familiar with magnalite. It’s what everyone here uses. I also just ordered a Le Creuset skillet to replace my Teflon skillet because of health issues with Teflon. I’ve purchased a smaller enameled cast iron Dutch oven a couple of years ago. There is no comparison to the quality of that pot to the Le Crouset brand. Yes, Le Crouset is more expensive; however, with proper care your pots will end up in hands of your grandchildren. I know some people place them in the dishwasher. I just can’t bring myself to do this. Besides, these pots are so so easy to clean. For tough scorched on food, just a soak in warm soapy water and it cleans up with no effort whatsoever. If you enjoy cooking, treat yourself. You’ll end up replacing your pots one at a time with Le Crueset. ... show more

  • Total disappointment
Color: Marseille Size: 15.5 Qt
I have been looking for this large LeCreuset pot for some time. When the price was too good to turn down, I ordered it as a gift for my wife. It arrived damaged. The outer box was ripped and dented. The inner box had a hole. The pot itself had a broken cracked handle and 3 inch scratch on the outside of the pot. This damage to a cast iron pot is hard to believe had I not witnessed it myself. I wanted a replacement but the price was back into the unaffordable range. Very disappointing not just in Amazon but LeCreuset also! ... show more

  • Product is great, packaging inside the box was terrible!
Color: Meringue Size: 6.75 Qt
Le Creuset products are some of the very best available. I ordered a casserole for a wedding gift and opened my delivery today. The shipping box was bigger than necessary to ship this item and there was almost no packaging - giving the small amount included it was like there was no packing. The item slid back and forth during shipment and when I picked it up to bring it in. It damaged the Le Creuset box inside. Whoever is packing should know better than to send something this heavy and not have it packed properly in the box. The product itself seems ok but it looks like I bought it second hand with a damaged box instead of buying it and having it look nice to give as a wedding gift. For a minute, I thought about returning it and buying locally but thought of the waste that would be involved with doing that. ... show more
