This is a uniquely shaped Braiser of a pumpkin, which is beautiful display year-round, and the quality and ease of use is as you would expect… I have two of them… unfortunately, the one here they say is called persimmon the one that got shipped was actually MARRONNIER. It currently says they have 15 of the correct color but when I called this question the possibility about changing it I was told I would get refunded the sale price that I purchased this one on and I have to pay the higher price now and I didn’t think that was exactly reasonable, but it is a beautiful piece regardless and I’m very pleased to have it and the excellent quality it’s in ... show more

I ordered the olive pumpkin Le Creuset and it was in it’s original box, then placed in a larger box with other item I purchased so it didn’t move much, upon opening, the lid did move but there were rubber brads that kept the bottom and lid from any scratches. It’s absolutely fabulous and looks so much better than the picture, made me want to buy more, I’m so very pleased with this product!!! ... show more

Beautiful item, too bad LC doesn't care enough to design packaging which will prevent excessive returns. If you don't mind allowing LC to waste your time with receiving, opening damaged items which are easily preventable, repackaging and reordering replacement items, then this is a good company to order from. This is way too small inside for braising roasts. The pumpkin shape reduces the braising area too much. Its very overpriced for its size. Quality was disappointing. There were scratches around the entire lid so returned it for a refund. Update: A second braiser also shipped. Chips and scratches in the enamel.
