  • Super Nice
Size: BM 6"+Native control+Lossless Installation
Out of the box: The unit comes in a box that includes the BM600 Intelligent Screen, a small screw driver and a user manual (UM). This unit is big. It includes a visor that can be removed using the supplied screw driver. The installation was very easy and no different than the OEM Garmin unit. It clicked in position and I was able to lock it in place. I turned it on and the BM600 screen came up. It is very easy to navigate through the menus either through the touch screen or the wonder wheel (WW), which are actually functional icons to set up the unit. Pairing was very simple and no different than anything else. It will pair with a phone and using CarPlay or Android Auto, can access the apps and listen to music, or talk with your passenger. The BM600 is GPS capable, in fact that how it monitors the speed. It also has a GPS screen for Lat-Long coordinates, etc. You can switch units from US standard to metric. The view from the rider: It has a 6 inch screen. My previous unit was small enough and fit almost entirely within the motorcycle’s Garmin cradle. However, the BM600 is big enough that the upper portion of the R1250GS’s TFT screen’s info is no longer visible from the rider unless they lower their heads to see it. Obviously you cannot see the cradle as BM600 overlaps it. On the other hand, the BM600’s screen is amazingly easy to see, which is a big plus for me as I struggle without readers. This really is not a bad thing frankly for a few reasons. First, the unit almost has the same screen (different color) replicating the moto’s TFT screen, at least the one you usually see when riding. Second, if you have a big tank bag, with this unit you may not see much of the TFT screen at all. So you get almost the same info, in addition to what the screen provides you that BMW does not show on theirs… see below. The BMW replicated screen: This is actually called the BMW Agreement Function. It will view the engine and ambient temps, total mileage, range, maintenance mileage, maintenance date, gear, camber (this is new to me), speed, tire pressure, battery voltage, brake lights, turn signal, wheel control and other functions. This from the UM. The Wonder Wheel (WW): Access to the BM600 screen is achieved in the same fashion as the Garmin unit, i.e. press the left handle bar menu button long enough to switch from BMW to NAV. According to the UM, you use the ‘up’ key of the menu button to confirm the setting. This is true for the base unit screen selections. You do switch screens by toggling the WW left or right. In CarPlay mode, the WW performs just like normal… if you’re familiar with it. Screen Toggle: I do not have Android Auto, but through CarPlay, there is a “Home” icon on the screen that lets you toggle to the BM600’s basic screens. Other: There is a card slot, however according to the UM, this is for firmware updates only, and you have to buy the company’s cable as it’s not supplied with the unit. If you do not have the TPMS function on your motorcycle, you can purchase the manufacturer’s sensors to install on your wheels, which will pair with the BM600. Other more expensive brands may have forward and rear view cameras that are connected to their intelligent screens. The BM600 does not have that capability. Personal Impression: I loved it. I have the Garmin, and another brand similar to this one for CarPlay that fits within the cradle, but this is a game changer in terms of size. I’m very pleased with it. ... show more

  • Transformed My Friend's 2022 R 1250 GS Display
Size: BM 6"+Native control+Lossless Installation
I installed this LBW BM600 on my friend's 2022 R 1250 GS, and it's completely modernized his riding experience. The upgrade from the stock display to wireless CarPlay is night and day. The Wonder Wheel Integration Actually Works The native Wonder Wheel control connects seamlessly to the BM600, letting him control everything without taking his hands off the bars. He can scroll through TPMS data, check fuel levels, monitor engine RPM, and track mileage using the familiar BMW controls. Important note: his GS came with factory TPMS, so that feature works. If your bike doesn't have TPMS pre-installed, you won't get that functionality. Also, he's using the original BMW bracket—third-party mounts won't work with the Wonder Wheel integration. Plug-and-Play Made Installation Easy The 4-pin connector plugged directly into his bike's existing harness—no cutting wires or splicing connections. The 12-pin connector for the Wonder Wheel signal transmission connected just as easily. Installation took about 45 minutes working carefully, and most of that was removing the old display and routing cables neatly. For a BMW-specific install, this was surprisingly straightforward. Wireless CarPlay for Navigation His iPhone pairs wirelessly via Bluetooth within seconds of starting the bike. He uses Siri voice commands for navigation, calls, and music without touching his phone. For long rides and touring, having Google Maps or Waze running on a proper screen instead of a handlebar phone mount is a huge upgrade. The wireless connection stays stable—no dropouts even on all-day rides. The 6-Inch Screen Makes a Difference The larger screen compared to stock makes maps easier to read at a glance. The 1440x720 resolution and 170° viewing angle mean he can see it clearly in different lighting conditions and riding positions. Colors are vivid, text is sharp, and it's readable in direct sunlight, which matters on a motorcycle. Built for Weather The IP67 rating and nano-coating have held up through rain and dusty backroads. He's ridden through downpours, and the screen stays responsive and protected. For adventure riding where weather is unpredictable, knowing the electronics are sealed properly gives peace of mind. What It Changed Before this, he was using his phone in a RAM mount with earbuds for navigation. Now he's got integrated CarPlay with the bike's audio system, Wonder Wheel control, and all his bike's data on one display. It feels like a factory upgrade, not an aftermarket add-on. The riding experience is cleaner and more focused. Compatibility Matters This is specifically designed for certain BMW models from the list. His R 1250 GS is supported, and fitment was perfect. Check compatibility before buying—this won't work on non-BMW bikes or models not on their supported list. Bottom Line This upgraded his BMW's tech to modern standards. Wireless CarPlay, native Wonder Wheel integration, and real-time bike data on a clear 6-inch screen make touring and daily riding better. Plug-and-play installation was straightforward, and the weatherproof build handles real-world riding conditions. If your friend's got a compatible BMW and wants modern connectivity without losing factory controls, this delivers exactly that. ... show more
