I did not take a before picture, so this is the after. There were a ton of weeds that I cut down last week and I wanted to test this during my lunch break. (I work 7 days a week). It is SUPER fast, your feet get only a little dirty, MEANING, it does not kick back onto your legs or shoes. I used the wheels to move around, but they can tilt up. There were some roots, but since this was a test I went around the ones I could see. I looked at the local Home Depot and they had a unit you can rent for $46 a day which lead me here. I was thinking, after three rentals I could have my own and I got the warranty too (never know). I have more to do in the back, just to turn up the ground etc. This is great. The ground is VERY dry and not "hard", however, I am TOTALLY sure if it were harder, there would be ZERO issue. This unit or the more powerful one is a great choice. ... show more

I am asking far more of this machine that it was likely intended for but it is doing the job. It is probably intended for gardening, I’m tilling my whole yard to reseed it. As others have said, it does work better when you pull it versus letting it drive you, that said, it has accomplished what I wanted it to do to this point. It is a workout, especially on virgin ground. I’m dealing with a fair amount of roots too, it’ll handle anything under an inch or so but will stall on larger roots, have to occasionally clear the tines but that’s a welcome break from pulling it along for a few minutes. I’m giving 5 stars because for $130 I’m finishing a job that probably should have required a much more expensive tiller. Hard work pays off lol ... show more

I wasn't expecting much from this for the price, just wanted something to help go over some previously tilled areas. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this thing works. I love not having to mess with fuel or pull a string also. I'm a little female, and it wasn't too heavy or cumbersome for me. It's also not a "dinky" feel. Gets the job done! ... show more

Negatives first. The power cord can be dangerous to handle with tongs that want to eat everything in its path! 😬 The positives. Plenty of power even in very compacted soil. Use a 14 gauge extension cord. The cheaper cords get hot. No complaints. I'm using it on a major landscaping project.

This cultivator has been a joy to use in our garden this spring. Lots of power and will conquer any rocks or smallish roots with ease. The rugged construction is excellent for the backyard gardening enthusiasts. I wish I could have found an equally powerful battery cultivator at the same price range. Wow! This works great! Cuts through 1 inch roots. Worked well even in mud. Although it’s 26 pounds it doesn’t feel that heavy when you’re using it. I’m using mine with three extension cords for a huge garden area. It’s getting through soil I haven’t been able to break in years. I thought it would be too wide and hard to use but it’s not. This tiller works a good as any gas one I used 30+ years ago. Love the no gas, no oil to deal with. Not to mention, the dreaded pull start. This little baby… just plug it in to a electric cord, hit the switch and till away. This goes without saying… watch your cord as you pull the tiller backwards. I added 4 pictures, 2 before (one with the rocks the tiller kicked up) and one after. highly recommend this electric tiller. ... show more
