I bought this tiller because it is electric (no starter rope to pull until your shoulder falls off, or bottles of blue stuff to mix in the gas can). I put it together, headed for the garden, and was extremely impressed. It really tilled (I put grass clippings on my garden to keep down the weeds in the summer so it is chuck full of organic matter) down to a debt of 10 inches. I planted my garden in stages, just because of when I able to procure the plants. So each time I planted, I tilled the ground again. This tiller is light enough that I can move it around put heavy enough to do the job. Just last evening I had it out to redo a flower bed beside my house. Again, it did an excellent job. The media could not be loaded. I'm old enough not to want to prepare a 8x5 patch of lawn into a strawberry bed by shovel and pick. On top of that, the Arkansas Ozarks (which this California transplant ❤️'s ) is well known for its rocky dirt. I pulled a 5gl bucket of fists size or better rocks out of this small patch. The lower amps of this unit isn't an issue. I was using a 50ft 16/2 cord "it should have been at least a 14/2" but ........ I honestly feel it will last even in the rocky soil here, it takes a good bounce when it hits a rock but it normally digs it up. I'm just tired of trying to keep the "29cc 2cycle" gas engines running - especially when it's used infrequently. By the way, I do miss California but this is home now. ... show more

I bought this tiller with the goal of leveling out part of my lawn to eventually put a deck there. This tiller came with everything needed in the box (except for a screw driver for the wheels). It took me all of 5 minutes to put it together. I used it on a 5x5 section first and was more than impressed with the amount of power this thing has. It really dug up the ground well and handled obstacles like rocks and buried weed barrier well. 10/10 would recommend. ... show more

We had to establish new grass through 2000 square foot of clay and 1" roots. At first the unit would not be up to the task but it surprisingly it was. Digging a few inches through the clay and mix it with soil conditioner was easier then I thought. One thing though, the handle has only two position, neither of them are correct. I which there were more positions, so we could reach the position that is most suitable and save my back a bit. ... show more

WOW! What a nice surprise! I purchased this machine for my new 12' x 24' garden. I had turned the soil over, added lots of leaves, some compost over the summer, planning to let it compost up over the Winter. So, when my friends rototiller was not working, I decided to take a chance. I ordered it. The seller was very helpful and responsive when the shipper was not. I was amazed at the ease of assembly. I was super-amazed at the power of this machine. It literally blew through all the dirt, roots, and hardpack. I have much better soil now and look forward to planting a garden next Spring. Afterwards, I had to clear off the tines with lots of roots, (rosa-ragosa) that were not visible on the surface.. Yes, I unplugged it! It does not seem to have “3 adjustable tiller heights” as the advertised in product description. The user manual also does not explain the adjustable tiller heights. It appears this is false advertisement. This tiller works better if the soil is not too wet. If the soil is too wet, it does not cut through the soil that well. I’m 5’6”, the tiller handle heights a bit awkward for me. Still can’t figure out where is the “3rd” tiller height adjustment ... show more

This is an eazy to use tiller. If you have a medium size garden and want a good tiller, this is it, No gas, no oil and no tuneups year after year.
