  • Great Value and Easy To Operate... Very Pleased!
My wife and I were wanting a simple way to communicate between our mountain bikes when riding. While it did take a little adjusting and twisting (tweaking the position/angle) of the earpieces, we both finally found the right spot. For us, we used the left ear and attached the control head to the right shoulder strap on our hydration packs. This allowed the cable to come under our chin and reduced the swinging cable (albeit a short one). That worked out well for both of us. We are in the 65+ age range, but still ride like 20 year olds tearing through the mountain bike trails. This system allowed us to easily communicate with each other. There is about a 1-2 second delay between pressing the PTT button (push to talk) and the actual voice transmit. The little button was easy to find with our fingered and fingerless gloves. Cold weather gloves will be a problem. The controls are easy to operate. The speaker audio is plenty loud except when traveling fast and/or in a very rough section. However, it is very obvious a call was make and usually with a minute or less we could respond when the speed and trail conditions allowed. While the Owner's Manual is a little short on details, it is still fairly easy to figure out. Both units came fully charged. We plugged them into our USP phone chargers and within a minute or two they were showing fully charged. Presently, I remain very pleased with the quality, fit and functionality of this intercom set. We bought these as Used, but as new. It was a great value for the money. I would easily (and have already) started recommending these to our riding friends. One thing to note, is that they can not connect to other systems. But for us, that is OK. Thanks. ... show more

  • Not bad at all
I have a 2002 car (yes, it's over 20 years old) so obviously there isn't a BlueTooth connectivity built in. No USB port either. So to go hands-free on my phone, I have to deal with aftermarket BlueTooth devices. I have one that plugs into my cigarette lighter socket and plays through the stereo, however, you have to tune into a specific station and cannot listen to other stations if you're connected. And it's always on so if you answer your phone and don't need it hands-free because you're using earbuds instead, you have to select the other option since your phone will connect to BlueTooth first. This, however, is different. It doesn't connect through the stereo. The speaker is built into the device. So I already like it better. This means that I can use it to get directions on my phone but still play music on the stereo. And the speaker is really decent. No static (like the radio) and the sound is clear. To me, it's like any smart speaker for your house. I can play music off my phone via a streaming app and while it doesn't sound as good as my car's speakers, I can't find fault with it. It can pick up talking without the device needing to be directly in front of you. I leave mine clipped to the passenger side visor and it hears me just fine. And so far, I haven't needed to recharge it. Mind you, I haven't used it for hours yet, but maybe an hour here, an hour several weeks later. The initial setup was easy. And now, I only need to turn it on and it effortlessly connects to my phone. When I play music from my phone, it automatically plays in the device rather than making me choose where to play it, which comes in handy when you're driving and shouldn't be messing with devices and phones. I'm happy with it so far. I'm glad I got it. ... show more

  • Great hands free unit
Pairs to phone instantly when you power it up, My iPhone works great with it, I don’t have to search or enter a contact, just say “Siri, call **** “. and the phone call goes through with great reception and decent volume (I think it could be just a little louder). Long useage from USB charge, mounts securely on visor, well worth the price. ... show more

  • Works, but it wasn't for me
I gave this item five stars, because it was easy to set up, does what it says and works like it should. I got this item because the touchscreen on my stereo is unresponsive, so I can't stream my music (or change the radio station, or do any feature that involves having to touch the screen!). I was looking for an option to avoid having to replace my stereo, so I gave this gadget a try. Again, it works as advertised, so I have no complaints about this device. However, after giving it a couple weeks, I've decided it's just not for me... My personal cons: * Only one optimum position, which is visor up with the device right above your head. (And driving at the times I do, it's "a game" of do I want this device in the clearest position or do I want to see where I'm going?) - Position it as shown, put your visor down, then it's facing the windshield. - Put the visor down and just flip the device around, then it's aimed at the steering wheel/dash. - I don't feel it would even be safe to put on the passenger side visor, because you'd have to keep reaching over to push the buttons and adjust the volume. (And again, you'd have to leave that visor in the up position.) * I wasn't expecting miracles, but it's nowhere near loud enough to drive with the windows down. If the weather is nice, I LOVE to drive with windows down and my music up. This thing will not accommodate that, especially at interstate speeds. These cons were big enough for me to decide to return it and just get my stereo replaced. I wouldn't deter anyone from trying this device, it just wasn't for me. ... show more

  • Instructions
The product itself is great , sound is good even when you play music. However the "manual" that comes with it was not too clear as to how to use it, for me anyway. The product description in the Amazon page was more helpful. I was finally able to figure it out. It did pairing with my cell phone was quick and easy. If not for the poorly written " manual" actually a very small booklet in numerous languages I would have given 5 stars. ... show more
