Extremely satisfied with this scanner. Launch brand came recommended to me by a friend that is a mechanic and it does not disappoint. You can view PIDs like most scanners but the graphing function has been a huge benefit. It is bi-directional so you can actuate functions on the vehicle - I have found this to be extremely useful in troubleshooting. One aspect I recently found was the ability to generate vehicle health reports and create a QR code/link to send to someone. The price is well in-line with what is offered. I would not hesitate to buy. Setup was easy and the user interface is easy to navigate. It comes with a create carrying case and everything feels high quality. I am an amateur and work on vehicles as a hobby, but can see this being effective in professional settings as well. Great and easy to use. Bi directional functionality is what I needed and this scanner delivered. Recently upgraded from an older Matco model and this one is leaps and bounds ahead of my previous scanner. Definitely worth the price it comes in handy. X431 Scanner it was a excellent choice. You can scan your vehicle and get the codes and also will look up codes on internet for the problems you are trying to fix. Also has a diagnostic you can use to go into the system you are working on and it will start the system and turn it off to diagnose it. I can also send me or customer a report on codes and problems the vehicle needed to be fixed. Im pleased with the scanner on what it can do for the money. It does everything you need in a scanner.

I’m a master certified automotive technician, I’ve been using this scanner for the past two weeks and have been extremely impressed on how powerful this scanner is. I have a plethora of dealer level scanners that are very very expensive and this scan tool is just as powerful as my dealer level scanners. It can generate full health reports, allows full bidirectional control/actuation testing, can view fault codes along with freeze frame data, has the capability of viewing all live data, even has a feature that allows you to search/research the diagnostic code straight from the scanner itself. On top of all your basic service functions dealer level scanners can do this scanner does. You can reset tpms, relearn throttle body’s, abs brake bleeding, crank sensor relearns, battery relearn/programming and much more. I’ve let some coworkers also use it throughout the past two weeks and they were also very impressed at the speed the scanner can communicate with the car along with all the capabilities it has. My FAVORITE part is it also does auto vin detect so no more entering the vin manually, saves A LOT of time. You can also wirelessly send the health reports from the scan tool directly to your email or to your air printer. All in all for the cost this is a great tool to have for DIYers or for professionals in a shop setting!

For several years, my go-to diagnostic tool was the LAUNCH Creader Elite For BMW OBD2 Scanner. IIt was perfect for what I needed at the time—mainly, a check engine light on my 2004 BMW. After successfully working on the BMW, I started to feel more confident tackling issues with our other cars—a Ford, a Mazda, and a VW. I started to feel the limitations of the Creader Elite. Reading engine codes was fine, but I needed to get deeper into the vehicles' systems. That's why I upgraded to the LAUNCH X431 CRP919E OBD2 Scanner. The jump in price was significant, but so was the jump in capability. The X431 CRP919E is a game-changer. It's not just a code reader; it's a full-system scanner. Now I can access everything from the ABS and SRS (airbag) to the transmission and TPMS modules. The biggest selling point for me was the bi-directional control, which lets me perform active tests on components. I can now command things like the fuel pump or cooling fan to turn on directly from the tool, which makes pinpointing problems so much easier. The special functions are also a huge plus, allowing me to perform oil resets, electronic parking brake resets, and other maintenance tasks that previously would have required a trip to the shop. It's truly a comprehensive tool for all our cars. My concers are Of course, the upgrade isn't without its downsides. The most obvious one is the price—the Creader Elite was a simple and affordable solution. The new scanner is a serious investment. One concern is the update policy: my original scanner came with lifetime updates (only for BMW), while the X431 CRP919E only includes two years. After that, I may have to pay a subscription to keep it up-to-date. Overall, the upgrade was worth it. While my original scanner was perfect for my first successful repair, the LAUNCH X431 CRP919E is an essential tool for a home mechanic with a diverse fleet. It provides the depth and functionality needed to tackle a wider range of problems, turning guesswork into confident diagnoses. I noticed the significant improved speed as soon as I plugged it into my first two cars.
