This is a great kit for mechanics. Impressive full-system diagnostics and key programming. It does things I didn't know about. Easy to use. It's already paid for itself. I have used it on a few vehicles to PIN code, programmed fobs, cleared the immobilizer fault codes. Without it, I might have to contact a locksmith or send it to a repair dealer (costing much more). It doesn't just do key programming - I've used it for full-system scans on Ford F-150s, Toyota Tacomas, and BMW 3 series. The rest functions all done in a few taps on the bright, rugged touchscreen. Yes it only comes with two years free software updates, I didn't hesitate at all. Because it's so much better than others only offer one year free upgrades. If you're serious about diagnosing cars efficiently, do yourself a favor and grab the LAUNCH X431 IMMO PLUS. You won't regret it - and either will your bottom line. Highly recommend!

I bought this tool to clone my own car's ecm. The old one had a memory checksum problem and when trying to find a replacement, all I found were only units with the immobilizer removed. I wanted to have the car as original as possible. When i tried to clone the ecm, the scanner "informed" me that i have to join the NASTF and pay extra in the "Mall" application in order to access that function.... In order to join NASTF you have to be have proof of employment as someone that works in the automotive industry or own a business myself. In other words, you are paying a premium price for a scanner that would only allow you to use the most basic functions unless you are willing to pay extra. Absolute waste of money. You may as well buy a less expensive unit or get the alternative software that allows you to perform the cloning without having to jump try hoops...

Pretty impressed so far, has worked well so several different vehicles. I tried programming keys on 2018 Honda odyssey and 2016 F250. this tool has paid for itself already and is a reliable long-term investment. beyond the impressive IMMO functions, the full systems diagnosis is incredibly fast. It picked up some trouble codes my old budget scanner missed. The interface is snappy, and the bi-directional control makes testing components like fuel pumps or cooling fans are a breeze. It's like having a master technician sitting in the passenger seat, providing a holistic approach to vehicle maintenance and repair. it feels rugged, the battery life is solid, and the software updates are frequent. Honestly, my only regret is not buying it sooner. Five star!! it is truly a powerful diagnostic tool.

Bought this unit as an amazon returned, like new order. Scanner module was registered to person who had originally returned it. Amazon needed to reach out to (Launch Chinese company) in order to clear registration. I got a number for LAUNCH based in china. Put international calling plan on phone to reach out to them but my efforts were futile. I did manage to reach tech support through email. LAUNCH asked for serial number to VCI unit and then stated that I needed to reach out to original buyer. This is impossible for obvious reasons to privacy etc. American Launch company was very helpful in providing email to the Chinese sector but had to control over resets from out of country units. Long story short, If you buy this LAUNCH Chinese car scanner used, be prepared for it to be locked and registered making it completely useless. I hope Amazon recognizes this huge error and sends all these used units back to china Launch or at least tests them before sending out. Also, Chinese customer service is horrible and they will do the absolute least for you possible and take several days at a time to respond to each email and they NEVER answer the phone. BEWARE!!!! 0 stars Update: Launch has reached out to me and offered support. I have already returned unit but appreciate them giving me a few options to make things right.

Very professional car scan tool. I'm glad I bought it. It does a lot of thing and stands out for the ecu cloning capabilities - other competitors like Ancel or Foxwell simply can't match. When it comes to immobilizer systems, it's like a game changer. It doesn't just read codes-it actively resolves anti-theft lockouts, and programs new keys. It also can let you duplicate immobilizer data from a working key or ECU to a replacement. I tested it on a 2012 BMW 328i (replacing a damaged CAS module), and it worked flawlessly. Competitors require expensive add-ons or simply lack this feature. Covers North American, European, and Asian models. The guided menus make complex tasks like key learning or ECU adaptation surprisingly straightforward. Live data streaming is also super responsive. Great price for the features it has for automotive.
