I have had the opportunity to use several scanners at the shops i have worked at. This thing is easy to use. It had s good quality case. It charges fairly quickly and then uses the obd2 port to maintain the charge. Battery lasts as long as you use it. I have a matco scanner, the value for performance and quality i highly recommend this product. For the price it does everything the tool truck scanners do but for way cheaper. The fact that you dont have to pay for updates is worth it.

I was really impressed with the LAUNCH OBD2 Scanner CRP123X Elite V2.0. Start up, updates, web connection all went like a breeze. It connected to my Jeep Grand Cherokee and found the VIN right away, that is where the fun ended. The listing states that the scanner is good for FCA/Jeep products so that was a real plus. Unfortunately the directions do not mention much and when attempting to do an actual scan, the scanner wants you to connect to AutoAuth with a required account and password. So this stalled me for a few days while I tried to gather some info on the issue, support never did respond. On my last attempt I spotted where you have to go separately online to set up the free AutoAuth account. Well I got on to them where, lo and behold, the basic account is $50/year and the upgraded account is $200/year....so much for free. Looks like I am stuck with a useless scanner having to deal with the expensive dealerships to find any info on my cars issues.
